Gong Yoo and Ha Ji Won Receive Presidential Citations for Being Model Taxpayers

Actress Ha Ji Won and actor Gong Yoo were recently selected to receive presidential citations for paying their taxes faithfully. The National Tax Service will also be appointing the duo as its honorary ambassadors.

On March 3, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance held the 48th Taxpayer’s Day ceremony at COEX. Including Gong Yoo and Ha Ji Won, 316 model taxpayers, 66 tax administration supporters, 190 civil servants who have shown merit and 8 outstanding institutions were awarded prizes.

According to the Ministry, Ha Ji Won has donated royalties and books to disadvantaged neighbors, while diligently paying her taxes. She was given a presidential citation as recognition for her efforts to contribute to national finances.

Gong Yoo was chosen to receive a presidential citation for being a role model in everything he has done as one of the nation’s top actors, on top of paying his taxes dutifully.
