Big Bang Wants to Release New Album in Summer

The members of Big Bang made a surprise visit to the exhibition put together by their label, YG Entertainment, and stated, “We want to release a new album this summer and perform as a group.”

On February 21, four members of Big Bang minus T.O.P attracted attention as they visited the “YG Exhibition in Japan,” which took place at the Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu in the Chiba Prefecture.

The exhibition showcases performances of YG Entertainment singers, PSY, Big Bang and 2NE1 using a “3-D Live Hologram Theater,” where visitors could enjoy a hologram concert consisting of hologram videos and large-scaled media facades.

In addition, the “YG Collection,” displays the outfits the singers wore onstage as well as some of their most cherished items. Also a “Live Photo Service” was installed to make fans feel as if they are taking photos with the singer in real life. Various products and foods will be sold at the exhibition as well.

Oricon, a major Japanese music site, announced the news of Big Bang’s visit to the exhibition. Seungri said, “We sweat a lot when we perform live, so our clothes smell like sweat.” Taeyang remarked, “Seungri’s clothes are the only ones [that smell like sweat].”

Seungri added, “We hope to release a new album by this summer. We want to make appearances on TV and various events as five members.”

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment joint hands with KT, District and established a contents investment distribution company, NIK. NIK recently opened a hologram theater, “KLIVE,” in Dongdaemun, Seoul.
