AOA Thanks Fans for their First Win on “Inkigayo”

Sunday was a tearful day of joy and celebration as AOA members celebrated their first music program win!

On January 9, the girl group posted a message on their official Facebook which read, “Congrats! AOA's 'Miniskirt' won #1 on SBS 'Inkigayo'!! Plz leave your messages for AOA! PS Elvis, thank you so much for your love and support.”

The photo that accompanied the message showed the overjoyed girls posing backstage after their first win. The victory followed the hardships AOA endured after experiencing a lack of response from the public. After the release of their fifth single album, “Miniskirt,” AOA slowly began receiving recognition from the public for their catchy song, great visuals, and sexy choreography.

Winning on SBS’s “Inkigayo” unfolded the raw emotions of the trials endured by the group, as the members struggled to hold back tears while trying to deliver their winning speech. All in all, AOA's victorious moment seems to foreshadow the beginning of great things to come for the girls. AOA debuted under FNC back in 2012 with their title track “Elvis.”
