Jo Hye Ryun recently opened up about her recent hardships regarding the female celebrity prostitution ring rumors.

The comedian and TV personality expressed her gratitude toward her boyfriend and boyfriend's family for believing in her until the end while she was caught up in rumors of being a broker for a female celebrity prostitution ring.

Jo Hye Ryun shared her thoughts during a recent recording of MBN's "New World" set, starting off with, "The people around me, who believed in me and supported me, gave me a lot of strength."

During the recording, comedian Kwon Young Chan first spoke up, "Before I got married, I was in a bad situation. It was to the point that I couldn't see ahead to my future and I had no choice but to break up with my girlfriend who is now my wife. At the time, I had to spend time in jail and my wife came to visit. She was looking at me sadly. She told me that she'd stay by my side until I was proven to be not guilty. Ever since then my wife and my mother-in-law protected me. They became great strength to me and my savior."

Then Jo Hye Ryun followed, "I understand Kwon Young Chan better than anyone else. I went through the hardships of being involved in the female prostitution broker rumor. Because of the people who spread those false rumors through the tabloids, it was very noisy for about two weeks."

She continued, "Before those rumors were posted on the tabloids, I acknowledged that I was in a relationship. Although my boyfriend's mother is at an elderly age, she found out what was going on through the Internet but still supported me. That was such a big strength. I heard that she was in great anxiety until my name was cleared."

Previously, rumors of a female celebrity prostitution ring were going around and the tabloids named Jo Hye Ryun as the broker. However, investigations proved that the rumors were false. But much damage was done and many of the female celebrities named decided to press charges for the defamation.
