"Man From the Stars" Will Not Extend Series Beyond 20 Episodes Initially Planned

SBS drama miniseries, “Man From the Stars" has no current plans to extend the series by several more episodes. 

According to the original plan, the 20th and final episode will air on February 20 and be followed by the drama “Three Days” on February 26. With close to a national viewership rating of 25%, the idea of extending the successful drama series has been brought up, but the drama’s film crew has sought to wrap up the series by its intended end date. 

Their decision is understandable considering the current nature of filming on the drama set, which has been described to be no different than that of a live broadcast program with intensely packed schedules. The pressure to perform well has been taking its toll not only on the film crew, but also its actors, therefore ruling out the less-than-desirable option of extending the drama. 

One of the actors’ representatives stated, “Right now the actors are sleeping between filming sessions. Even if the request to extend the drama arrives, it’ll be hard to accept it. Everyone is hoping that the filming will end with 20 episodes as originally planned.”
