Sunye Returns to Korea for the First Time after Giving Birth

Recommended Posts

Sunye, the leader of Wonder Girls, has returned to Korea with her loving family.

On January 17, a source in the entertainment industry revealed to local media outlet Star News that the family of three boarded the plane for Korea on January 15. Sunye, her husband, and their baby are currently staying in Seoul.

This is the singer's first time to visit her home country as a mother. Since giving birth to a beautiful baby girl in October, Sunye has been staying in Canada with her Korean-Canadian husband's family and enjoying her time away from the spotlight.

A representative of Sunye said, "Sunye, the baby, and her husband came to Korea because of personal reasons, such as meeting relatives."

After tying the knot with missionary James Park in January 2013, the two have traveled back and forth between Korea and Canada. The couple received the fans' love and support, even though Sunye's choice to build a family has meant less promotions for Wonder Girls, causing the kind singer to offer her apologies to the group's fans. But no need to worry for the future, as she recently resigned her contract with JYP Entertainment, and will restart her activities when the time is right.
