Newsie
Gil of hip-hop duo Leessang revealed his thoughts on member Gary’s first solo album, “Mr. Gae.” On January 15, he posted on his Twitter, “Of course, Kang Gary. If there is one sad part to all this happiness, it’s that none of these songs can be heard on television or radio. When will we ever change?” Gil was referring to Gary’s new album having gotten a 19+ rating due to suggestive and frank lyrics in all four of the songs. Despite the adult rating, “Shower Later,” released at midnight on January 15, took the number one spots on real-time music charts for various online music sites, getting a lot of love from fans. On one hand, relationship columnist Kwak Jung Eun appearing currently on JTBC talk show "Witch Hunt" criticized Gary’s “Shower Later” music video, which is even more suggestive than the song lyrics. On January 15, she posted on her Twitter, “The music video that became a hot topic tonight is just improper from an aesthetic point of view. If that’s what was intended, sure, but I don’t think that was the case." She said, “A clear, yet somewhat unclear concept, that kind of feel? But this [music video] is so clear and obvious that it leaves no room for imagination.” Source 1 2 3 View the full article
