Actress Lee Yeon Hee seems to be a possible option to be the main role in MBC’s new drama “Miss Korea,” which is being produced by SM C&C.

SM Entertainment’s representative revealed on October 16, “We are in serious discussion,” in regards to the actress’ casting in the drama.

The storyline of “Miss Korea” centers on an average woman who becomes the focus of attention when some men in her village decide to get together and try to make her Miss Korea. The drama is gaining much anticipation as it will become another collaborative drama between producer Kwon Suk Jang and script writer Suh Sook Hyang who had previously worked together on MBC’s “Pasta.” Actor Lee Sung Min, who worked with roducer Kwon Suk Jang in the dramas “Pasta,” “My Princess,” and “Golden Time,” is verified to star in “Miss Korea.”

Last June, Lee Yeon Hee left a deep impression when she guest starred in MBC’s “Gu Family Book,” as Choi Kang Chi’s (played by Lee Seung gi) mother, Yoon Seo Hwa. Moreover, the actress recently starred alongside 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon in the movie, “Marriage Blue,” set to premiere on November 21.

MBC’s “Miss Korea” plans to air in December on the Wednesday and Thursday night time slot after the completion of “Medical Top Team.”
