Update on 2AM's Jinwoon’s Condition After Ankle Surgery

It has been revealed that Jinwoon's surgery on his ankle after his car accident has officially been declared successful. 

Big Hit Entertainment announced on October 8 that the 2AM member had a successful emergency surgery at Samsung Medical Center on October 7.

Jinwoon has been ordered a nine-week recovery period due to the car accident. The singer’s medical team explained that after close observation of Jinwoon’s progress, they will decide when to release the singer from the hospital.

A representative of Jinwoon’s agency stated, “He has finished surgery and is currently recovering,” and further expressed, ”His progress is fine to the point he is even able to send text messages.”In addition, the representative commented, “He has been ordered a hospital stay of a maximum of one week and two months of treatment,” but “We are expecting him to be recovered by 2AM’s December concert.”

Jinwoon was involved in a car accident on October 6 at around 11:30PM when his car collided with a 25-ton truck. The accident caused Jinwoon to suffer a fractured right ankle, and a 10 centimeter long laceration. The singer’s manager and a staff member were also injured and are currently being treated.
