Singer-songwriter Joo Young is an accomplished musician in the underground scene already boasting a large fandom at a young age of twenty-two. Many are keeping an eye out on this potential.

He has already worked with Kim Jin Pyo in “Shouldn’t Have Gone,” hip hop duo Eluphant in “Aquarius,” as well as Lyn in “High Heel.” His cover of American guitarist and singer George Benson’s “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You” has already passed 100,000 views, which is a commendable feat considering he’s not as mainstream.

“Popstar” is penned by Joo Young, who also wrote the lyrics. Jay Chong, who made his debut through 90s R&B group Solid, produced the track. It’s a retro R&B track expressing the feelings of a man who has gone head over heels for a woman. It incorporates fun disco rhythms, electronic funk groove along with a strong drum sound.

Check out his smooth voice below!
