Big Bang's T.O.P in Talks for a New TV Drama?

It was reported today that Big Bang’s T.O.P is a strong candidate to join the upcoming drama tentatively titled, “Celebrity.” According to multiple sources, the production team of “Celebrity” has stated T.O.P has been in discussion to join the cast since last October.

“T.O.P will most likely join the cast. We were supposed to begin filming earlier this year but due to his busy schedule, we delayed it till now. We’re expecting the air the drama in July. The recording will start in June,” the production team told local media.

YG Entertainment, however, denied the report, saying, “’Celebrity’ is just one of the many offers we’ve received for T.O.P. The drama hasn’t even finalized on its broadcaster yet, so it’s too early to talk about cast members.”

The production crew said they haven’t decided on the female lead or the broadcasting channel yet because they haven’t finished on the script. The basic synopsis of the drama is about a girl that gets betrayed by an idol star, and later debuts as a celebrity herself as an act of revenge – only to fall in love with another star actor. T.O.P is supposed to play the star actor that falls in love with the girl in revenge.

T.O.P’s acting has received positive reviews so far. He’s starred in KBS drama “Iris” and the film, “Into the Fire,” in the past and is currently an acting major at Dankook University.
