Synopsis: 

Tokuzo Akiyama (Takeru Satoh) is a young man living in a rural area. One day, he eats cutlet. That experience leads him to become a cook for western style food. He first goes to Tokyo and then Paris, France to learn about the culinary arts. Fighting against discrimination and prejudice, he becomes a chef at the Hotel Ritz in Paris, France. At the age of 26, he becomes the chef for the Emperor of Japan.

Can I make some suggestions, if you don't mind? Can you please include "Tenno No Ryoriban" in the title after "Emperor's Cook" because it is also known  under that name? Please include the titles in the tag so that it would be seen at google search.

He will be starring in a new drama which will be aired in April next year! A TBS Sunday theater period drama series. It will be a TBS 60th anniversary special entitled “Emperor’s cook”
His first cooking role and with a cropped hair, Takeru Sato will play the role of Officer Akiyama Atsushizo.
This is an original story by Naoki Prize writer Hisahide Sugimori, about a chef who lived in the turbulent era of Showa in Meiji.

A fictional story about Akiyama Atsushizo who worked as the first chef officer. For this role, he trained in a cuisine school in August and learned the gestures of a cook. He went through the process of apprenticeship as a cook by doing the dishes, cutting the vegetables and performed the actual cooking scene himself. In this drama, from his long hair in “Rurouni Kenshin” you will see Sato with a shaved head.

1. Based on the non-fiction novel "Tenno no Ryoriban" by Hisahide Sugimori (published December, 1979 by Yomiuri Shinbunsha). The main character is based on real person Tokuzo Akiyama (1888-1974).
2. To prepare for his role as chef, Takeru Satoh began taking cooking lessons from August, 2014 at a culinary school. He also had his hair cut for the film.
3. Filming begins mid-December, 2014. Filming will also take place in Paris, France.

BTS photos of the first shooting day for Takeru san’s “Emperor’s Cook”

The shooting for Takeru san’s upcoming TBS Sunday theater period drama series entitled “Emperor’s Cook” was launched last Dec. 10. The first location was the  “Ouchi inn” at the Shimogo-machi Minamiaizu-gun Fukushima Prefecture. It is a mountain village where houses from the Edo era and Meiji restoration still remain. Currently, the area has been designated as an important preservation district for its traditional buildings. Shooting started as early as 7:30 am, to shoot the sunrise, so the preparation has been done all through the night during the previous day. Local residents also appeared as extras. The drama will air in April of next year.

Takeru rushed fast through this year, beginning with the drama ‘Bitter Blood’, then shooting of the film ‘Baku Man’, the release of the films ‘Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto Inferno / The Legend Ends’, the shooting of ‘Sekai kara Neko ga Kietanara’.
He was able to do his best thanks to your warm support. Thank you very much!

We’re sure that you will enjoy the TBS Sunday Drama ‘Emperor’s Chef’, which starts in April next year.

For the time being, Takeru is going to face Akiyama Tokuzo-san every day. He is a very attractive person who goes forward to make his dream come true
Takeru has been practicing cooking for the shooting of this drama since last summer. All the time, he is not willing to compromise on his work, so his attitude has something in common with Tokuzo-san’s, we suppose.
