Like Mean Girls, the film is based on one of Rosalind Wiseman's advice books, in this case Queen Bee Moms and King Pin Dads: Dealing with the Parents, Teachers, Coaches, and Counselors Who Can Make - or Break - Your Child's Future.

Mean Moms follows a happily married mother-of-two who finds herself thrown into the competitive world of parenting in America's high-class suburbs, after her family move from a small town.

According to Deadline, the project will reunite Aniston with her Horrible Bosses 2 director Sean Anders.

Anders also penned the most recent draft of the film's script with We're The Millers writer John Morris.

The film is expected to enter production this summer, but a release date has yet to be announced.
