Getting all set up and ready for what looks like a very long day here at CherKell Central.  The MBC Drama Awards kicks off here at 1:30 AM Pacific Time, so what's the point in even going to bed at all, ne?  I'll be live-Tweeting the festivities, as long as there's enough coffee in the world to keep me awake for the whole show.

Our Emperor Puppy is nominated in the Excellence - Special Production Drama Category.  IMHO, his competition ain't much:  Park Sang-min ("Scandal"), Lee Sang-yoon ("Jung-yi, Goddess of Fire"), and Jung Il-woo ("Golden Rainbow).  These dramas never did/are doing the kind of ratings numbers that 'Empress Ki' is pulling down right now, so I think JCW has a very good chance of taking home the Daesang this year!  If not, I'm flying over to Seoul ASAP and show them what happens when you make the International Fans mad!!!  X(

So here's the cut of My Precious being interviewed as part of the MBC Section TV program that aired on 29 December, where he was "awarded" their 2013 Hot Star Award (along with that Clara chick, who I cannot for the life of me figure out her deal...).  Enjoy!

Ji Chang Wook Is Too Modest About His Abs

Ji Chang Wook seemed to have been too modest about his physical appearance during his recent interview with MBC’s “Section TV Entertainment News.” In responding to the interviewer’s comment that his abs were very noticeable, the actor smiled and shook his head from side to side, and said, “Oh no, that’s not true”

The actor, who is currently playing the character of Emperor Huizong on the MBC drama, “Empress Ki,” appeared onscreen with a bare chest and as the interviewer had said, he seemed to have shown his fans a pretty good-looking set of abs. Ji Chang Wook further on commented, “As you would have seen in that episode, I wasn’t prepared at all for that scene and couldn’t work out at the gym because of my busy schedule. My body looked like an 8-year-old’s.”

The actor continued, “I’m mostly happy that during 2013, I got to do a lot of the things I wanted to do. Also, I performed in a musical for the first time in 3 years this year and I’m really happy about that too.”

Thanks for putting this thread back to normal!
Congratulations to Ji Chang Wookie!! I knew he stood a good chance of winning in his category. I thought he looked fine at the awards though and I have no complaints about his hair. I mean, you can't expect him to show up in some spiky hairdo or coloured hair if he's acting in a sageuk right? 
He thanked so many of the staff in his award speech, even telling them to take care not to slip and fall in winter, though I was expecting him to go on to thank his family and fans etc. Not complaining but just surprised he didn't do so. Maybe because of time constraints or nervousness. Anyway, I'm sure he will have many more chances in the future!

This Ji Chang Wook

First time I discovered him in Warrior Baek Dong Soo .

I liked him  but not too much  … because  of Yoo Seung Ho of course ..

I do not "mia culpa" but I have to admit that today in drama Empress Ki is doing a 1000 times better  job.. I mean  is amazing wonderful brilliant and perfect  in the Emperor Huizong  role!!
