Or...if you saw the way Taek gasped you could say he figured out the fact that Junghwan has stepped  down for his sake. Since concert has happened  before Taek confessed to the boys that he loves Deok Sun as a woman. That's why they show it within flashback, it has reflected on his decision. It's true Taek thinks more practically  but that doesn't mean he is not smart enough  to remember that detail and conclude it's only fair to step down as the same way as Junghwan had done for him since Junghwan may not be only considerate kid when it comes to his friends...just saying.

Hi guys, as you all know the pd of reply uses props as a tool to tell the future of a plot. I don't know if DC gallery has noticed this but this is another good clue of JH being husband. or that they really will end up being a couple:

(I LOVE how the director really thought of this through, because if DS wasn't hitting JH and they were both just walking, it would be very obvious and everyone would have noticed.)

There are many people who love Taek and Deok-seun as a couple too ^^. Just like us they can guess who the husband is but that's not really important because the heart ships whatever it wants right hehe.

 

I'm sorry if this has been posted, here's a clip of Noel (the group singer) and our "No-eul" during their performance of the 1988  OST 'Together'. Choi Seong-won sshi was their guest.

@13infamyss I have no doubt that in the end Deok Sun will choose who she likes/loves and makes her happy. Right now in her mind both boys are friends (and one is a complicated friend). She will reflect and chose I like/love J or I like/love T or I like/love neither of these boys and her husband is Dong Ryeong. I'm not worried on who he is. The path we been on to get there though....

I don't know.  They may not separate.  As in, the families may move off to different places but they may continue to see each other and meet up like good old friends.  The time skip could just be a narrative sequence.

I think @Howlongwillthisfandomlast 's mother has a point. Even though Taek has an inkling that JH likes DS, Taek still asked her out.  But when he saw the photo in his wallet, he lost confidence.  I guess also seeing DS' reaction to JH when he gives her JH's wallet, since the eyes don't lie.  

To be honest, I felt that by ep 16, JH and DS was treating each other the same way they did before.  DS seems to be at ease with all the other guys but when it comes to JH, something always trigger a reaction.  Do you think she'd have cared if the other guys watch a porn video?  Interestingly, when DS knocked on the door, Taek put the wallet back and went about his business expecting it to be JH returning for his wallet but it was DS instead.  DS gave Taek food and place it besides the wallet and in return, Taek took the wallet and returned it to JH.  I can't help but see the significance of that scene.  JH left something precious (love) behind for Taek, DS came and gave Taek some food (friendship), but Taek sends the wallet (love) with DS back to JH.  Now, for the boys, the angst comes because they can't be sure who would have looked inside the wallet.  Even DS out of curiosity might have open the wallet.

I just made a fanfiction about JHxDS (because 2 weeks would feel so long). It's actually bad and still lacking but I hope you all would read for a while.

Does your Mom know that TK took a picture with the same exact pose with DS chingu ya? I'm asking this because I fail to see how JH-DS picture makes TK loosing his confidence in winning the girl. TK doesn't have to be jealous because he has similar picture. Or because it seems like a date? If I remember it right, I think TK knew JH-DS went to MBC concert, DS even asked everyone to go to the concert too but JH was the only one available. Beside, TK went to Fujitsu Championship without having confidence. He asked DS: "It's okay if I lose, right?". So I don't think he's the type who will back off because he's not confident in winning. Or did I miss something here, chingu?

I remember I read a post from a guy in this forum who gave an interesting interpretation about JH behavior after TK confession from a guy perspective. His opinion made me saw JH action in a new light. So probably your mother has some interesting interpretation too...? You know... from a wise and experienced woman perspective that an inexperienced woman like me failed to see.

I just asked my Mom and her reaction was: "what are you talking about?" LOL

I interpret TK's action this way:
Taek saw the way JH sees DS and realized that JH likes DS too... but he wasn't 100% sure... nothing confirmed. Since he likes DS... probably it's hard for him to believe it so he tried to deny it. He convinced himself that he saw it wrong. He just went ahead with his plan.

But then he saw the picture. The picture was not the problem here. But the fact that JH keep the picture in his wallet was. Wallet is something that we always take almost wherever we go. It's personal and intimate. What kind of reason will make a guy keeping a girl photo in his wallet? It's whether that girl is his mother, sister or... a girl he likes. So it's some sort of indirect confirmation from JH that he likes DS.

(Btw, I read theory here from DC gall which says that TK saw the date on the picture and realized that JH has liked DS before his confession. However I don't believe that this is the case. The picture could be taken from 2 years ago, 8 years ago, it could be DS picture when she's still a toddler (okay forget this one, it would be creepy)... the picture could be taken when JH hasn't fallen in love with DS. The most important thing here, IMO, is that JH keeps picture of DS in his wallet.)

So he felt conflicted for a while... but in the end he couldn't bring himself to hurt JH... the same way JH couldn't bring himself to hurt TK (awwww... you two just go to Netherlands and go marry there)

Btw, It has just occurred to me: why does, unlike JH, TK put DS's picture in his notebook inside the drawers? I mean, he rarely meets DS. And from previous episode we know that TK doesn't bring his notebook all the time.

Or probably he has one too inside his wallet? or he even stuck one under his baduk board? LOL

I saw significance as Taek knowingly sent it with Deok Sun so Junghwan could understand Taek saw it and it's up to Junghwan say something against it. But your version is more poetic  I can't came up with that idea because I don't see Deok Sun's emotions as obvious as Junghwan now it's vague and being subtle and secretive is not like Deok Sun's character  if you ask me. Besides taking picture together doesn't mean anything about feelings either but keeping it means it's not over for Junghwan.  Lastly I can't connect loosing confidence with winning the match and hesitating just before the call so it's just speculation we can't be sure. It's funny that when it comes to love lines characters has no lines in this drama so we can only assume things and maybe overthink it ^^

Dong Ryeong's mom packed him lunch   He no longer has to abide with ramen and curry. His mom wakes up super early to make and pack him something to eat or does it late at night after work. A parents love really knows no bounds. That and the fact that papa Sung was waiting in the street to send Bora off with all that medicine and money and both are too gruff to say I love you but when she drives off she lets the tears flow....

I enjoy seeing a young Michael. He's similar to his 94 self but yet different. I like seeing him dance in class and get into motorcycle accidents. Does his mom or dad work a lot too? I know he's a side side character but his parents never showed up at the police station and he was eating ramen. Eh it's not important. I just like getting a slight back story on someone who's already established to is us. Now I wonder how he and Trash got close (probably through a shared class) and if he'll keep in touch with our boys and that's how a 94 cameo will take place. Everyone meets up for drinks or something.

The wallet. I did ask in another thread if anyone thinks Deok Sun opened the wallet and saw their picture but I don't think she did. Like others have said even if she doesn't like JH there was just too much of a non-reaction coming from her for me to believe she saw it. With all that had been going on with them (and still going on imho) there is just no way she would see the picture in his wallet (such an intimate, personal place to be. Like anytime throughout the day he can take it out and just stare at her/them and be broody LOL) and not ask "What the heck JH!?!? What does this and all your other actions mean or have meant?"

Does Sunwoo's mom like Taek's dad? I can't read her. Does she want to marry him? I'm lost if Taek's dad was asking permission to date her? Or marry her? Does she like him? Or is she looking for companionship and a father for Jinjoo? I have tried but I just don't see why they can't stay the supportive I pick you up so you don't get mugged and watch your kid when you work and I'll bring you delicious food so you don't eat crap and when we're both bored or lonely well call each other up and talk or have a drink together friends that they are now. For me I don't get why viewers feel they must get married. Isn't possible for people to be close like this and be and stay friends. Like if they don't feel that attraction to kiss one another and jump each other's bones, why can't they be friends? She can still be a mother figure to Taek and he a father to Jinjoo and Sunwoo. Taek and Sunwoo can still have brotherly slumber parties without them getting married. I think he likes her but I don't get that from (other than friends pushing it) and apart from being two widows...why do they have to get married?? I loved mama Kim's advice of living for herself too. But marrying him, would it be for herself or for kids too? Sunwoo's mom seems a lively person...would they gossip for hours, laugh and joke, crank on some music or turn the tv loud to dance around (not with needing quiet baduk practicing Taek in the house from what I've seen)? 

There's is a relationship that feels kind of forced and not authentic to me. Oh he just happens to be a neighborhood friend from her past. Oh she brought him to the block. Oh her brother and him are best friends. He rescued her from debt so she should show her gratitude with her heart. Eh, it all feels so contrived to me. It falls into the whole notion of "nice guys" deserve rewards of the heroine loving them even if there is no mutual attraction simply because they are decent people (I once read a nice article on this -yes dramas have scholarly articles- and Second Lead Syndrome). Why should you be "rewarded" for doing things any basic, nice, respectful, caring, and capable person should do? Like "thank you for being a decent human being" and that should be enough. It's also why I loath the "nice guys finish last saying" it's not because you're nice that I don't like you and why should I like you just because you are nice? I'm not saying girls should fall for "bad boy" assholes but you shouldn't like someone or have to like someone simply because they are "nice" neither. If the attraction and feelings for more are there, then ok. But if not there then why is there this need to take it further than it is? For me I'm so lost when it comes to how mama Sunwoo feels for papa Choi. 

She was super nice after he loaned her the money, is it gratitude or an attraction awakened in her through his nice act? He's good with Jinjoo and now even Sunwoo is saying it's okay. I guess I'm just lost when it comes to what she feels for him as a woman. I get what she sees as a mom, a woman who could use the extra bread winner, etc. But does she like, like the "bear" she once said she doesn't even know what they'll talk about? Or is she trying fill a lonely void or missing spot of Sunwoo's dad's place? I have said it before and I'll say it again, I feel both deserve and could have better than being content or settling with one another. He likes her. Am I sleeping on her feelings for him? Or maybe it doesn't matter? He likes her and she likes him. They need a shipper thread. I have so many questions and scenes I want to dive into, ha.

From watching the raws, imo Taek didn't continue with his confession because he wants to be fair with JH. The last episode's seem to highlight Taek's competitiveness and with his rival not making a move, he's yet to make a move, too.

I thought the "irony" was as competitive as everyone knows him to be and we viewers seen him be and expect him to be (they purposely have been highlighting his huge confession for weeks) we expect him to go all baduk intelligence and "win" the girl...he's not going to "compete" because friendship? Or maybe he is a sniper just watching and waiting for the opportune moment to strike. 

However Deok Sun is not a trophy to be "won or lost". It would be wonderful if the greatest irony were that while these two little boys were going through all this teen angst, sacrificing for one another, and emoting pain through sleepless nights, sighs, and hidden pictures; they finally confess and have the girl be over them. While they were they were building their triangle of love and friendship, she was starting to see that Dong Ryeong is kind of cute and gives good advice LOL. They thought the biggest competition was each other. Heh, ya'll thought! Nope, it has been the dance machine that suspiciously color coordinates his turtle necks with what dude is about to get some shine, enjoys porn, really wants his mommy, and avoids his teacher dad like the plague. LOL. Isn't there some saying about those you least suspect LOL. It's not going to happen but I do kind of wish for Deok Sun to reject both before making a final decision on her turtle or dove, swam? Some animal that loves only one then dies when the other does.
