On the May 28 episode of “Good Girl,” the cast took part in a unit battle!

“Good Girl” is an Mnet hip hop reality program that showcases female hip-hop and R&B artists by having them team up to complete quests. Its cast members include Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon, Cheetah, Ailee, Jamie (formerly Park Jimin), Lee Young Ji, Sleeq, CLC’s Yeeun, Yunhway, KARD’s Jiwoo, and QUEEN WA$ABII.

The mission began last week when the cast went to a two-day-and-one-night song camp, where they were given the task of making a two-member unit to perform together on the second day. They were told that the pair that was crowned as the “best unit” would get flex money as a prize.

The members teamed up in duos of Lee Young Ji and QUEEN WA$ABII, Jamie and Ailee, Yunhway and Yeeun, Jiwoo and Cheetah, and Hyoyeon and Sleeq. Lee Young Ji and QUEEN WA$ABII kicked things off with their performance last week.

 

Jiwoo and Cheetah – “Desperado” (original by Rihanna)

Yunhway and Yeeun – “Feels” (original by Calvin Harris featuring Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, Big Sean)

Sleeq and Hyoyeon – “Blinding Lights” (original by The Weeknd)

Ailee and Jamie – “Tango” (original by ABIR)

In the end, Sleeq and Hyoyeon were named the winners! All their fellow contestants had voted for them as the best unit.

 

The “Good Girl” cast was then shown taking on their first quest, which was a battle against Just Music and Wedaplugg Records, which houses artists like Swings, Giriboy, and more. The Quiett took part in the episode as a special director.

When they came up with the lineup for their competition, the “Good Girl” members decided that Lee Young Ji would go up against Giriboy. Lee Young Ji said, “I’m really scared. Giriboy was my mentor on ‘High School Rapper.'”

It was also decided that in the first round, Sleeq, Yunhway, and Jamie are going up against Lil Tachi, sAewoo, and Jhnovr.

“Good Girl” airs on Mnet on Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. KST.

“Good Girl” has shared a teaser for their next episode!

The clip begins with host DinDin announcing their opponents for their second quest. The cast all initially express confidence that gradually diminishes as he reveals the idol lineup to be VIXX’s Ravi, Oh My Girl, AB6IX, and Hyolyn.

Jamie asks, “Why are you doing this to us?” Cheetah, who was a mentor to most of the AB6IX members on “Produce 101 Season 2” commented, “Even if I win, it’s no good…but if I don’t win…”

The preview shows clips of AB6IX and Ravi’s powerful performances, Oh My Girl’s Mimi and YooA’s collaboration, and Hyolyn’s impressive vocals.

At the end, the cast express shock at an apparent mishap on stage during QUEEN WA$ABII’s performance as CLC‘s Yeeun comments, “So this is what a broadcasting accident is.”

“Good Girl” is an Mnet hip hop reality program that showcases female hip-hop and R&B artists by having them team up to complete quests. Its cast members include Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon, Cheetah, Ailee, Jamie (formerly Park Jimin), Lee Young Ji, Sleeq, CLC’s Yeeun, Yunhway, KARD’s Jiwoo, and QUEEN WA$ABII.

For their first quest, the cast battled artists from Just Music and Wedaplugg Records. Sleeq, Yunhway, and Jamie first performed against Wedaplugg Records’s Lil Tachi, sAewoo, and Jhnovr.

The “Good Girl” team took to the stage with “Colors” while Lil Tachi, sAewoo, and Jhnovr performed “Demons,” and in the end the “Good Girl” team won the round.

The second round featured Lee Young Ji facing off against Giriboy. Lee Young Ji shared that she still contacted Giriboy and called him her mentor, after he played that role on “High School Rapper.”

The two artists then showed off different styles with their performances, with Lee Young Ji performing “I’m Lee Young Ji” (literal title) and Giriboy performing “A Star Is Falling” and “Divorce Papers.” Lee Young Ji came in first for this round.

The final round pitted Cheetah and Hyoyeon against Just Music’s Swings and Han Yo Han. The “Good Girl” team performed “TURL” while Swings and Han Yo Han performed “Again Today” (literal title).

In the end, the win went to the Just Music team. Han Yo Han then had everyone laughing when he asked Hyoyeon to take a photo with him and declared himself a successful fan of Girls’ Generation.

The “Good Girl” team scored the win overall! Lee Young Ji received the highest number of votes, so she took home the prize of the flex money, using it to buy gifts for her family.
