The first episode was what i expected and more!! I'd have to say i had a love hate relationship with Alice's character at first, she is such a biotch and over the top trying to beat Joanne's character. But when i saw the flashbacks of what happened between the two frenemies i'm team Alice...Roy on the other hand is too handsome with his smiling eyes and quick toungue..&& he's a lawyer so that means amazing suits throughout the drama. Hope everyone will be here until the end! :wub:

Haha, yeahhh I was also quite worried that I would despise Alice's character too, which would have totally sucked because I've been waiting for Alice and Roy to collaborate in another drama since Office Girls ended, so I am sooo thankful that that I did not end up hating her character. Although Alice's character may not be the most pleasant person to meet, but she's definitely not a terrible person in nature. I agree that the back story of what had happened to her in the past really helped explain to the audience why she is the way she is. It really helps us to try to understand and see things from her character's perspective than from what is shown to us. Also, I think that the comedic element also helps make her character more lovable and cute, which is always a bonus :D! 

 

Overall, I definitely enjoy the drama so far and I can't wait for the episodes to come. I think Alice did a great job so far. I've heard that Alice was quite stressed out when filming this drama because she was so worried that she wouldn't be able to portray the character well enough since her real-life personality was completely different than her character's personality. But I think she did quite well as she really did surprise me with this role and I really hope that it can bring her more recognition :)!

The opening song is called 見招拆招‬ (English Translation: See a Move, Dodge a Move), which is sung by Joanne Tseng and Real (from the group F.I.R), while the ending song is called ‎兜圈 (English Translation: Going Around in Circles), which is sung by Yoga Lin.

I'm so happy Roy and Alice still have amazing chemistry on-screen!!! Their scenes are hilarious. :lol: Roy is very handsome as usual *drooling* :wub:  and Alice is so pretty in the drama! (very different from her ordinary character in Office Girls). I enjoy Alice's comical acting and character.

Sheng Nan in episode 2 went overboard with her annoying actions. I can't believe she would ruin Huan Zhen's wedding just because of her past rivalry (pretty sure it was a stupid misunderstanding). But if she didn't ruin the wedding, there wouldn't be a story/relationship between Hao Meng and Huan Zhen.

Hello I am new on this thread ~ just finished watching ep 2 hehe can I just say that this drama feels very different from other taiwanese dramas. For a taiwanese drama there seems to be a lot of heavy makeup and a lot of extravagant clothes I mean it's normal for korean dramas but I rarely see that in taiwanese dramas. (haha does anyone know the reason why?) Not that it's bad or anything it's just different. and lolz speaking of fashion SN looks like a lettuce in her bridesmaid dress HAAHHAAHAA that was funny lol haha.

the acting is also not bad. idk maybe I have been watching the wrong kind of taiwanese dramas where all the actors are idols and their acting is at worst cringe worthy and at best unnatural.  But for this drama I really like the acting ~ esp CHZ hehe I think her acting is very on point (She's so different from her office girls days she definitely has improved) ~ her comedic scenes are funny and when she is being super annoying with her domineering character I really do feel like punching her in the face (like woman the world does not revolve ard you, you have to make compromises too) SN is okay I guess most are of her scenes are well done but their are some awkward scenes too. The guys on the other hand tho, dont bash me for saying this ><  I think Roy is able to play comedic and charismatic scenes well (when he went on and on with the whole string of environmental gibberish LOL) but he cant do emotional scenes which is why I am still okay with him in these two eps but from the preview, I was so turned off by his acting :( Hope he proves me wrong. And Huai Qiu haha he is not an actor to begin with so I guess his stiff acting is to be expected besides he's new at this so there's still hope haha. BUTTT the girls are doing a great job so that's smth to look forward to ~ 

Abt the story, after watching the first ep, I thought it was quite refreshing haha coz the story was more focused more on the feud b/w HZ and SN and not the typical love story. and it was hella funny watching them trying to outdo/outsmart/out-trick each other haha kinda reminded me of bride wars. And i was expecting there to be a love triangle b/w HZ, SN and HM but apparently since SN and HM are siblings so that wont be happening anytime soon so I am curious to see how it will play out hehe and obviously there has to be some misunderstanding behind the quarrel during there college days so I am expecting a tearful reconciliation from HZ and SN 

The story managed to inch forward a little in ep 2. But idk if this is a good or bad thing but with HZ being such an richard simmons and HM being such a disbeliever of love, I am on the one hand, curious as to how both of them will come to love each other and on the other hand, doubtful that they will ever find a happy ending. But weighing more on the side of curiosity coz optimism is the way to go yeah ~

Talking abt the preview: skip if you dont want spoilers

Speaking of the preview, I only took a look at it coz I wanted to see where the story was going given the rather slow progress of the show. hahaha can i just say I got more confused than ever. Firstly, I am confused about Hui Qiu's role. I thought he was just gonna be the cute second lead who would get together with SN. dang I was kinda looking forward for that cute storyline. Who knew it's gonna get so twisted with him going after HZ and getting into a love triangle with HM. wait no, it's a love square since SN is chasing after HQ's character (forgot his name sorry!) Hiaz why you gotta make it so complicated :( Secondly, I am looking forward to some parts of the show and not looking forward to other parts. i am looking forward to the part where they while pretending to be lovers, fall in love with each other. SO NOT looking forward to the mother disagreeing their relationship bit. Urgh it's so unnecessary and overused and it's always filled with so much tension and angst. I rather they bring in other problems to test their relationship. :angry:

All in all, despite the good and the bad, what I love abt the drama is the comedic scenes. HAHAHA I love it when they all exaggerate their acting <3 So I think I will be sticking ard for now when things are still not as tangled yet hehe

Ep 3 looks like gold...progress in the right direction. I mean the break up of the unlucky couple and the deeper connection the butting heads couple. 

@Nixesty id have to agree about the females in the drama doing a great job on their parts but Sheng Nan has some of the funniest derp faces, i mean its meme gold :P and Alice is amazing, when i saw the teasers for the drama i was like "what! is that Alice, no way" but she plays her part sooooo well. Her bitchy scenes are on point, i even hate her some times cause she is so extra and over the top trying to out live Sheng Nan, or basically pulling the wool over her fiance's eyes. But on the other hand id have to disagree about Roy, he is my Taiwanese lover (one of many) and i think his passion is in his eyes, I watched him in Easy Fortune, Happy Life and wanted him to be the lead and get the girl. So when I started Office girls i was hoping for greatness, the romance scenes were okay but not great. so im hoping for more this go round. Honestly i think Alice will steal the scene when the time comes, but look for his emotion in his eyes when hes in love ..gives me a rush :wub:

I am not a huge fan of taiwanese drama but sometimes would make exceptions. This drama in particular is so refreshing  because of the chemistry and great acting. 

I havent been hooked yo any TW drama in a very long while so this will be the first since.

I just watched the first episode but I'm not finished yet but so far I like it.

It was funny and entertaining how the leads are not getting along in the first encounter.

It makes me wonder how they will get along with each other.

The guy cracks me up. It's like he's trying to look cool and serious but he's such a clown.

I hope this drama will live up to my expectations. Looking forward to the future episodes.

Hey guys, I'm new on this thread. :)
I just finished watching the 2nd episode, and I am liking the drama so far. It's a bit slow at times, but I kind of enjoy getting to know the quirks and history of our characters. There seems to be more layers to them than what one sees on first sight.

@Nixesty Like you I feel that the writers/PD have wanted the drama to look more Korean visually. They have more extravagant clothes on than what is usual for Taiwanese dramas. I would disagree a bit about the make-up, though, as I do feel the Taiwanese drama characters usually wear heavier make-up than the Korean counterparts. The make-up style does vary from drama to drama, though. I laughed at your lettuce comment. I was thinking also that Sheng Nan does look a little bit like it in that bridesmaids dress... lol :D

The preview for ep 3 looks so interesting, can't wait!
