*** The premiere is just a few weeks away. The newly released teaser is using Im Shi-wan and Shin Se-kyung to re-enact a parody of Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman’s famous scene in the Hollywood classic Casablanca. I'm in for this drama. The teasers have definitely piqued my curiosity. They just look so cute together. Please don't disappoint me.

*** This is so romantic. They gaze at each other with loving eyes. Their meaningful eye contact is just saying “actions speak louder than words.” The words beside Oh Mi Joo read, “I think I might make a mistake if my heart flutters more than this,” and Ki Sun Kyum’s caption boldly replies, “Can I make that mistake?”  I  look forward to their romance, which is the key point in the drama.

3 Reasons To Look Forward To The Premiere Of “Run On” Starring Im Siwan And Shin Se Kyung

0d01ef55efa14c63ada9a4bde8a1d3e9.jpeg?s=

JTBC’s newest drama “Run On” starring Shin Se Kyung and Im Siwan has shared three points to look forward to ahead of the premiere!

“Run On” is about people trying to connect with each other in their own languages after having lived in different worlds and at different paces. Im Siwan will star as Ki Sun Kyum, a former track and field athlete who retires after a life-changing event and becomes a sports agent. Shin Se Kyung will star as Oh Mi Joo, an adventurous foreign film translator.

Here are three points to look forward to in this upcoming romance drama!

Spoiler

1. The couple’s awe-inspiring chemistry

Ever since they were cast, Im Siwan and Shin Se Kyung have been in the spotlight for their adorable chemistry, even getting “scolded” by staff for being too cute. The two stars are already said to be perfectly in sync while reflecting the romance between their characters. Viewers can look forward to watching how their partnership develops, their growing confidence in one another, and their perfect romantic chemistry.

2. Amazing production

The production and direction of “Run On” has been garnering interest since the release of the drama’s teasers. The two character’s careers are also reflective of the drama’s concept of “direction.”

This level of detail reflects just how much work was put into ensuring that each scene was perfect. The producers commented, “We endlessly think over concerns with love and we work really hard to wittily portray the cute emotional transformation of the characters who are easily swayed and sometimes whining. You’ll be able to properly check out this process in the first episode so please give it lots of love and attention.”

3. Two-sided romance

“Run On” looks at romances between polar-opposite couples. Ki Sun Kyum is a man who only looks forward, while Oh Mi Joo only looks back. Seo Dan Ah (Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung) is someone who thinks something can only be done poorly if it isn’t done at all and Lee Young Hwa (Kang Tae Oh) believes the opposite, that it’s impossible for the heart to achieve what the heart wants.

Rather than link the couples in complex ways, these couples set off with a clear love line that will guide their storyline into an even stronger, more close-knit romance.

“Run On” Shares Differences Between The Two Couples Of The Drama

Im Siwan, Shin Se Kyung, Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung, and Kang Tae Oh will pair up to showcase two very different romantic relationships in upcoming JTBC drama “Run On”!

Sooyoung will play Seo Dan Ah, an ambitious sports agency CEO who believes the only way to fail is to not try at all.

Kang Tae Oh will play Lee Young Hwa, a popular art student who is handsome, kind, and charming.

Just like their unique personalities, they will portray different relationship dynamics. Here are the main differences between the two couples:

Spoiler

Placid Ki Sun Kyum and fiery Oh Mi Joo

Ki Sun Kyum is someone who does not easily lose his composure. In fact, he is sometimes so calm that he seems to be void of any emotions, flustering the people around him. Oh Mi Joo is the opposite of him. She has an explosive temper, and she doesn’t tolerate anything that annoys her. It will be interesting to see how she will speak up for him and why she reached out to him despite the fact she doesn’t easily sympathize with others. Viewers can look forward to watching how their partnership develops and the changes they experience as they get closer together.

Seo Dan Ah, a woman of desire, and Lee Young Hwa, a man whose desire has been caught

In the drama, Ki Sun Kyum and Oh Mi Joo will slowly discover how to express their feelings and communicate properly with each other. However, Seo Dan Ah and Lee Young Hwa’s relationship begins with the process of recognizing each other’s feelings.

Seo Dan Ah, an ambitious woman with a business mindset, is able to see right through Lee Young Hwa and discover his hidden desire that nobody else could see. Lee Young Hwa approaches her with excitement and nervousness, putting her on edge and causing her to put up defensive walls around her. Their relationship will be filled with quarrelsome but blunt chemistry. Viewers can look forward to see how Lee Young Hwa’s sweet and down-to-earth charms will open up Seo Dan Ah’s cold heart that has never unlocked for anybody before.

Shin Se Kyung And Im Siwan Show New Sides Of Their “Run On” Characters

Im Siwan and Shin Se Kyung give an interesting glimpse of other sides of their “Run On” characters in new photos!

“Run On” is a drama about people trying to connect with each other in their own languages after having lived in different worlds and at different paces. Im Siwan will star as Ki Sun Kyum, a former track and field athlete who retires after a life-changing event and becomes a sports agent. Shin Se Kyung will star as Oh Mi Joo, an adventurous foreign film translator.

The stills from the show that were released on December 9 highlight the unexpected things that the two leads enjoy.

Ki Sun Kyum is fixated on his phone, never letting it out of his hand, and his serious personality leads him to take a careful approach when searching for things online too. He’s so absorbed in his screen with a curious expression that drama fans are wondering what he could be searching for.

Meanwhile, Oh Mi Joo also shows a different side of herself from her usual appearance as a translator. She’s at an internet cafe having fun playing a game, and in one shot she’s biting her lip as she’s so engrossed in what’s going on in the virtual world, taking a merciless approach with her eyes on the prize. This side of her fits with the strong woman she’s appeared as in teasers, who approaches life with the mindset of “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.”
