*** Siwan says he wants his next project to be an intense melodrama when he was interviewed about his current drama yesterday.  As far as I know he hadn't starred in any very romantic roles or melodramas. He also mentioned the actresses he wants to work with are Kim Hee SunGong Hyo Jin, Han Ji Min & Park Bo Young:P

“Strangers From Hell” Finale Reported To Be Rated 19+

The upcoming finale of OCN’s “Strangers from Hell” may be rated 19+.

For the first nine episodes of its run, the mystery thriller starring Im Siwan and Lee Dong Wook has been rated 15+. However, according to a new report by Korean media outlet TV Report, the 10th and final episode of the drama will be its first to be rated 19+.

Based on a highly popular webtoon, “Strangers from Hell” tells the story of Yoon Jong Woo (played by Im Siwan), an aspiring novelist who moves to Seoul and unexpectedly finds himself caught in a hell created by other people. The final episode of the drama will reportedly focus on the hellish moments created by Yoon Jong Woo’s bizarre surroundings, as well as his character’s psychological transformation. In order to improve the quality of the production and more effectively express the writer and director’s intentions, the producers are said to have ultimately chosen to change the rating for the finale.

The penultimate episode of “Strangers from Hell” will air on October 5 at 10:30 p.m. KST, while the series finale will air on October 6.

*** For me, it was his portrayal of Jang Geu Rae in "Misaeng", which made him a household name. It's good that he keeps an open mind to work on varied genres. I remember he said in an interview that he exercises by swimming to keep his body healthy. His drama is about to wrap up soon & Siwan will focus shooting the film Boston 1947. :P Looking forward to this movie.

Im Siwan Talks About “Strangers From Hell,” Reveals How He’s Changed Since His 20s

c5d76a5c155e468cb64778f8bcb2a946.jpeg?s=

Im Siwan reflected on OCN’s “Strangers From Hell.”

The actor, who recently wrapped filming for the 10-episode thriller, said, “I wondered how time flew so fast. It seemed like filming just started days ago, but it’s already over.”

He added, “My thirst for acting hasn’t been satisfied. I’ve got a lot of energy left to keep working for a while with no rest.”

Im Siwan compared acting in “Strangers From Hell” to playing house. “Amazingly, all of the actors were so good at playing. Two years ago, I became determined to have fun while acting, and after this drama, that feeling has become even stronger.”

Now 30, Im Siwan talked about how he’s changed since his 20s. “When I was in my 20s, if I didn’t understand my character, I talked to the director. I was inexperienced, and I was very direct in protesting. Now, rather than being stubborn in my point of view, I’m prepared to listen and be persuaded by the director’s explanation. It’s not wise to always fight. It’s not that I don’t say anything at all, but at the core, I believe that with any project, it’s the director’s art, rather than the actors’.”

He revealed that he’s not one to express his emotions very well. “I don’t get mad often, but when I do, my emotions take over and I can’t speak very well. I do let my emotions fester.”

One of Im Siwan’s latest interests is English. He revealed that rather than wanting to debut in Hollywood, he wants to live seeing more of the world.

Hi sky5joyous, thanks for sharing this. Time flies so fast that the drama has come to an end. I'm happy that it achieved its highest rating last night, though! According to Nielsen Korea, the 19+ rated series finale of “Strangers from Hell” reached an average nationwide rating of 3.9 percent. The ratings mark a significant increase from the night before (when it scored an average of 2.4 percent), but I read that it also marked the highest viewership achieved by the OCN thriller during its entire run. NICE. :P
