  • the reporter started with gushing on how impossibly good looking binnie is face to face (this must be the nth time...)... binnie again said he thinks his face is 'ordinary' and he's still uncomfy with the compliment of 'handsome'
  • earlier in his career, after he's finished Ireland, ppl would call him KK, same with Samshiki after mnikss, and JO after WW... at first he would instinctly think 'my name is HB...' but now he'll take it as a recognition, and it's a compliment he treasures more than the adoration of his looks.
  • when asked if he loved to take on angsty miserable roles such as his KK or DS, he commented everybody exp sufferings in life large or small, it depends on how they express them, and it's just that all his characters project it differently, even for a happy person, it may only be on the surface. He did admit he loved to tackle characters with flaws and twists...as if thro them, he can experience life. He went on and said because of his middle class sheltered upbringing, he pondered if his acting could be improved IF he had experienced more adversities in life. he half jokingly said maybe if he had taken up odd jobs when he started to have interest in acting, he could've gained more life experiences precious to his craft.
  • He also talked about his life goals, he said in the future when he wanted to start a family, that would become his priority and how well he can provide for his family is of utmost impt to him (he went on a tangent talking about the social role of a Korean male...to provide and protect*swoon*) He will also work hard on finishing his degree, he said he would love for his future children to be able to put down their father was a graduate of the degree. He also said ppl judge a woman on how she carries herself, how she cooks/ what she eats and the man she's with. He wants to make her proud (of him).
  • The happiest moments with acting for him were when he's working/training towards a goal like playing the piano in MNIKSS or the Busan dialect for Chingu, of coz he felt the disappointment to the extent of almost tearing up when he felt his acting was not up to par and the PD told him so...but when his acting was 'ok'd' by the PD, it's an exhilarating moment for him as well.
  • On whether he has a ritual like JO wearing black at the last day of shooting, he said he always took a shower, it felt like he can start anew afterwards. He also said he hated when he's smelly and sweaty after a hard day's work and haha he also tidied his home to spotlessness before starting a project, but in no way he'll admit he is a clean freak. He also enjoyed going on a vacation like samshik did in ep16 of mnikss. It's like a purging for him.
  • He also expressed how rational he is with love. He can't help but consider his family and the social pressures that is part of the package, he can't just go and fall for someone when it'll cause misery to all others, that is not true happiness to him. He also said he's never experienced all that love at first sight, love of your life as if it's destiny... he's never had a crush on his teachers, he's never fallen for the girl sitting next to him in college ( fr Daddy Long legs), even for his first love, yes, it's in a special place in his heart, but cant help questioning 'is this love? are we really in love?' while he was in the relationship, and when he realized that he really loved her, it's already ended. He admitted he needed a lot of time to develop feelings and he needed even more time to think things thro being a very careful to the point of excessively cautious a person in that department.
  • The reporter then asked whether it's hard to keep his current relationship in wraps now that it's in the open. binnie said he has never wanted to announce it, nor did he want to hide it forever. But he doesnt want to think too much into the issue now, why it has come to this or why did it become a national gossip. He craves for his personal space atm. In this aspect, Korea is diff fr other countries, where relationships are sensationalized. The fact is he wishes the public can leave his family and his lover alone as much as possible. As for his fans, the ones who only focus on his love life or his private life r not his true fans. (BRAVO, binnie!!!! ) Does he have to play out his life with his gf, with his family in the open?! He can't help but wonder...'I want to express life thro my acting. My privacy is my most precious entity, please try to respect and understand.'
  • 'What will cause your heart to mush instantaneously to a puddle?' binnie said whenever he thought of his nana who passed away outside a convenience store, hit by a car when he was very young. He longed for spending more time with her, and he felt this emptiness and sadness whenever he thought of her.
  • On his hobbies, he still loves photography, he loves the notion of taking a snapshot of life. He is collecting zippo lighters, he loves Jason Mraz, and his favorite song atm is The Blower's daughter

Song Hye Kyo "As busy as a High School Senior"

For her first advancement in China with the movie, The Grand Master, 'Hallyu Queen' Song Hye Kyo (28) is living life like a high school senior as she takes the most excellent measure in preparing for this project.

Ahead of next month'a full-scale filming for the movie, these days she remains on location in China, coming and going between her lodging quarters and the martial arts practice room. In between this, she receives two hours of private Chinese lessons everyday. As she is in an area without internet access, she speaks with both her mom and lover Hyun Bin by telephone to send each other their best regards and love.

A close associate of Song Hye Kyo conveyed how she has been getting along. "This is her first Chinese advancement work, so she has great enthusiasm for this movie." She added, "As of late, she pretty much just goes to and from her lodging quarters and the martial arts practice room and cannot even cast her eyes to any other place. She is no different than a high school senior preparing for exams."
