It does seem that they are keeping a tight lip on everything.... no info on side characters, no plot info...
KBS need to step up the promotion! ppl need to know about this new timeslot!

Unfortunately, I cannot watch the teaser you uploaded here. I got the same error message about not available in my country. I watched the fan uploaded version on you tube. Just wish the fans will continue to do that for people like me who do not live in Asia.
I also tried the link you attached here to the kbs site, I can watch the teaser alright but it is so choppy and slow, I may as well forget it. I suppose it means I won't be able to watch SPY on-line then  (

Original creators of ‘Spy’ say Jaejoong fits his role perfectly

The original creators of KBS2’s upcoming drama “Spy” complimented singer-actor Jaejoong as the perfect actor for the lead role.

According to local reports Monday, Israeli producers Ron Leshem and Amit Cohen expressed satisfaction with the choice of Jaejoong for the main character, Sun-woo.

“It’s very surprising to know that Jaejoong, a worldwide star with such a wide variety of fans, has been chosen for the main part,” they said. “It’s an honor to have him participate in the drama, and we would like to meet him if we have a chance.”

Sun-woo, a South Korean intelligence agent and an outstanding data analyst, develops a romantic relationship with Yoon-jin, to be played by actress Ko Sung-hee.

Based on the Israeli drama “Mice,” the thriller tells the story of Sun-woo and his mother, a former North Korean spy played by actress Bae Jong-ok.

Two episodes in a row will air from 9:20-11 p.m. every Friday, starting Jan. 9.

The first video teaser to the upcoming KBS drama Spy has been released on December 29th, sharing a sneak peak into what’s to come.

Bae Jong Ok, playing Hye Rim, is seen preparing dinner, slicing a cucumber, before dramatic scenes are played out. Jaejoong, playing Sun Woo, dressed nicely and looking snazzy in a suit, walks down a dark alleyway towards his car with suitcase in hand as he cheerful talks on the phone. However, the situation turns for the worse when a busy t-bones Jaejoong’s car.

Spy follows Sun Woo, an agent of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), and his mother Hye Rim, a former North Korean spy.

It is set to air on January 9th, 2015 at 9:30PM KST on KBS2TV.

“Spy”
January 9 – Fridays on KBS 2

Here’s an unusual one. Take one part suspenseful spy drama and add one part family drama, and you get the foundation for KBS2′s “Spy.” Based off the Israeli drama “The Gordin Cell,” the adaptation will focus on a mother and son, like any good family drama, except she’s a dormant spy from North Korea and he’s a current agent for the National Intelligence Service. Their family dynamic gets turned upside down when spy mama Hye Rim (Bae Jong Ok) is suddenly tasked with bringing in her own son, Sun Woo, played by Kim Jaejoong (yes, from JYJ). I think Kim Jaejoong really proved himself as an actor in last year’s (regrettable) “Triangle,” and I’m curious to see the marriage of family drama with spy intrigue. Go Sung Hee also stars as Sun Woo’s love interest.

The teaser for “Spy” sets a tone that is more reminiscent of smart and clever spy dramas (lighthearted and full of reversals) than of family melodramas (full of tears). But don’t take my word for it, see for yourself:
