The reason why Park Bo-gum calls the director of the movie “Hansan: Rising Dragon” every holiday.

Director Kim Han-min of the movie “Hansan: Rising Dragon” appeared in “Yoo Quiz on the Block” and mentioned actor Park Bo-gum.

In the 163rd episode of tvN’s “Yoo Quiz on the Block,” which aired on October 5th, Kim Han-min, who produces the Lee Soon-shin’s trilogy including “The Admiral: Roaring Currents,” “Hansan: Rising Dragon” and the upcoming “Noryang: Sea of Death,” appeared in the special episode of “One Well.”

When asked by Yoo Jae-seok and Cho Se-ho, “If the two of us appear in your film, what role would we be?” Kim Han-min said, “Wouldn’t you play the soldiers? You’ll have to row hard,” he replied.

When the two showed their disappointment, he added, “Park Bo-gum also rowed during ‘The Admiral: Roaring Currents,’ telling the behind-the-scenes of the movie.

In response, Yoo Jae-seok was surprised, saying, “Was Park Bo-gum in ‘The Admiral: Roaring Currents’? This is the first time I heard this even though I have watched the movie”.”.

Director Kim Han-min repeatedly explained, “He rowed hard as a character called Bae Soo-bong,” and boasted, “I get a call from him every holiday. He said ‘Thank you director,’ because he had learned some basic skills as an actor after filming the movie.”

When asked if he didn’t know that actor would be Park Bo-gum now at the time, he praised him highly, saying, “No, he had a different look in his eyes and he was a friend that boasted his own aura.”

“At that time, Bo-gum was the youngest, and Bo-gum’s friends were Yoo Seung-ho and Lee Hyun-woo,” said Ko Chang-seok, a senior at the agency. “Seung-ho and Hyun-woo were the main characters then, while Bo-gum was just a small role in ‘The Admiral: Roaring Currents’,” he said.

“But he always arrived early in the morning to prepare and film, even though there were times when he could film and times when he couldn’t. But he was always smiling then, too,” he said, sharing stories about Park Bo-gum’s rookie days.

Park Bo-gum, who made his minor debut through the movie “Blind” in 2011, later played Kang Ji-hwan’s child version in “Runway Cop” and appeared as a supporting role in “A Hard Day.” After filming “The Admiral: Roaring Currents,” he began to make his face known through SBS drama “Wonderful Mama” and KBS 2TV’s “Naeil’s Cantabile.”

Since then, he played Choi Taek in tvN’s “Reply 1988” in 2015, solidifying his fan base by becoming an MC for Music Bank, and also appeared in “Coin Locker Girl” starring Kim Hye-soo.

Since then, Park Bo-gum has shaken women’s hearts by playing the leading role of Lee Young on KBS 2TV’s “Love in the Moonlight” in 2016, and has made headlines by appearing with Song Hye-kyo in tvN’s “Encounter.”
