7 Of The *Best* K-Dramas To Recommend To Your Friends Who Aren't Fans Yet

They'll be binge-watching until 2 a.m. in no time!

We all have that one friend who we can’t seem to get into watching K-dramas, no matter how hard we try to convince them. Okay, I’ll admit it: I was one of *those* people, but I can vividly remember a summer in college when my best friend successfully pursuaded me to finally watch my first K-drama. I binge-watched Descendants of the Sun in two days! Since then, I’ve watched my fair share of Korean dramas and have picked out the ones that will encourage ~*non-believers*~ to give them a chance.

Here are seven K-dramas on Netflix and Viu that will transform your friends into diehard fans:

1. Reply 1988 (2015)

Who’s in it: Lee Hyeri, Park Bo Gum, Ryu Jun Yeol, Go Kyung Pyo, Lee Dong Hwi

Where you can watch it: Netflix and Viu

Why you should watch it: It’s a nostalgic tale of five families living on the same street in a neighborhood called Ssangmundong. Reply 1988 has comedy, romance, and will surely warm your heart—what more can you ask for?

Private Park Bo-gum, always having a hot presence

It has been seven months since he joined the army, but he has always shown a hot presence. This is actor Park Bo-gum who became a navy private.

He's a star in military uniform. Far from being a military veteran, he frequently tells us how he is feeling as if he became a Navy entertainer. Serving as a military officer of the Navy's military music, he is continuously participating in major events to prove his unchanging presence.

On March 26, he also hosted the 6th West Sea Protection Day event. "Our soldiers want to repay the sacrifices of heroes by protecting peace in the sea," said Park Bo-gum, who was in crying appearance that attracted so much attention.

Not only this, but he also grabbed the social microphone at the Korea Navy's Hoguk Concert last year, drawing attention from fans. The video, which was broadcasted live on the Navy YouTube channel at the time, was watched by 6,000 people at the same time.

Since then, a video of Park Bo-gum narrating the Navy's daily life has also been released, recording 64,000 views (as of March 31), six times the average number of views on the Navy's YouTube channel.

Still, Park Bo-gum's recent photos appear frequently in the online community, recording high views.

They are also ranked at the top in various surveys. The bed commercial, which was filmed before joining the army, received more than 24 million views on YouTube even though it was an advertising video.

Park Bo-gum was also at the center of the controversy again with the news that the movie "Seobok (directed by Lee Yong-joo)" will finally be released, which has been postponed once due to the Corona19 Pandemic.

"Seobok," which will be unveiled simultaneously at the TVing and theater on the 15th, depicts Kiheon (Gong Yoo), an intelligence agent who is in charge of the last mission of transferring the first human clone of mankind, Seobok (Park Bo-gum ), to challenge a special companion in the pursuit of various forces seeking seobok. It is Park Bo-gum's first screen-star.

In the recently released trailer of "Seobok User Manual," he transformed himself into Seobok, making the online community excited with the bromance created by sharing Kiheon's role.

Although they cannot participate in the promotional schedule, their presence alone is an 'automatic promotion'. Gong Yoo said, "Park Bo-gum built the farm well, so we will harvest it well."

Many remember Park Bo-gum's good eyes, and in "Seobok," there is a contrasting look that is well-known for the first time.

While acting together, Park Bo-gum's fierce eyes were attractive, so she said she had to play the villain. The fierce look came to me with a charming look.

Park Bo-gum's image transformation in "Seobok" is likely to be one of the great attractions for the audience to watch, he said.

Actor Park Bo-gum, who does not know the military Baek-gi, will be discharged from the military in April 2022.

Another title to behold for our Bogum. - Chemistry Craftsman / Chemistry Master as far as Bromance is concerned.

:cutekitty:

'Chemistry Craftsman' Park Bo-gum to Gong Yoo draw 'Seobok' Emotional Bromance

Park Bo-gum, who has shown bromance chemistry in various works, unfolds emotional bromance with Gong Yoo through the movie 'Seobok'.

Park Bo-gum has shown a variety of bromance chemistry regardless of the genre and character of each work.

Park Bo-gum has shown a variety of bromance chemistry regardless of genre or character. Seo In-guk, who played the psychopath lawyer Sun-ho in the 2015 drama "Remember You," played Lee Hyun as his brother, and he was loved by his friends in Ssangmun-dong, along with Ryu Jun-yeol, Ko Kyung -pyo and Lee Dong-hwi.

In addition, Park Bo-gum's bromance was not missed in the drama "Gureumi Green Moonlight," which played the role of crown prince "Lee Young," but she captivated viewers by showing her life-threatening bromance with Kwak Dong-yeon, the only trusted friend and guardian "Kim Byung-yeon.

In last year's drama "Youth Record," Byun Woo-suk, who plays Won Hae-hyo, is a model who runs toward her dream of becoming an actress, and he is a close friend and rival.

He once again presents his bromance in the movie "Seobok." "Seobok" is a story about Kiheon, an intelligence agent who is in charge of the last mission in his life to transfer the first cloned human, "Seobok," who is caught up in an unexpected situation with a special companion in the pursuit of various forces aiming for "Seobok."

Park Bo-gum, who plays the role of "Seobok," the first cloned human, will perform a special companion with Gong Yoo as "Kiheon," a former intelligence agent who is on the last mission of his life to move "Seobok. "

Expectations are high on how the emotional bromance of those who will bloom will unfold in the process of "Giheon" and "Seobok," which are rarely found in common, gradually getting to know each other, changing and growing.

The emotional bromance "Seobok," presented by Gong Yoo and Park Bo-gum, can be met through the theater and TVING on the 15th.

Seobok in Starfield Hanam Mall

@BogumNoona, thanks for sharing this. Starfield Hanam is the second largest shopping mall in South Korea. It was the talk of the town since its opening some years ago.  It's called a “Shopping Theme Park” in Korea since it's like an amusement park that offers many fun rides.  :tounge_xd:
