Lee Dong Hwi shared a funny blooper video on Instagram from the “Reply 1988” filming set, where Park Bo Gum couldn’t stop laughing and kept adorably apologizing. Lee Dong Hwi wrote in the caption, “Come back healthy. #seeyouagain.”

Park Bo Gum quietly enlisted on August 31, and his agency shared that his decision to enlist privately was made in consideration of everyone’s health during the COVID-19 pandemic. After six weeks of basic training, the actor will serve as a cultural promotion soldier of the navy.
 
On his enlistment day, Park Bo Gum’s official YouTube channel shared a music video for his cover of the song “Yes, We Are Together” from “Infinite Challenge.” The touching video features footage from his 2019 Asian fan meeting tour and it ends with the message, “Bless you all, and I wish you the best in the future.”

Park Bo Gum’s discharge is currently planned for April 2022. Before enlisting, he filmed the upcoming tvN drama “Record of Youth” as well as the movies “Wonderland” and “Seo Bok.”

Star actor Park Bo-gum joins military amid COVID-19 pandemic

CHANGWON, South Korea, Aug. 31 (Yonhap) -- Actor Park Bo-gum started his mandatory military duty Monday.

 

Dressed in black, Park entered the Navy Education and Training Command in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, at 2 p.m.

As his agency Blossom Entertainment has promised no farewell event at the training camp due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 26-year-old did not give a nod or a hand salute.

 

Instead of visiting the site on strengthened social distancing, his fans said goodbye and sent encouraging messages to Park on online communities.

 

He will be tested for the novel coronavirus before beginning his training, according to the Navy.

 

After six weeks of basic military training there, he is expected to be transferred to the Navy headquarters in the central city of Gyeryong. He will be discharged in April 2022.

 

Making his silver screen debut with the thriller film "Blind" (2011), Park gained huge popularity after taking a lead role in the hit TV series "Reply 1988" (2015) and "Love in the Moonlight" (2016).

 

His last small screen TV project, "The "Record of Youth," will be aired on tvN next Monday.

Previously, It was reported that Park Bo Gum was enlisting quietly in the Navy on August 31st.

 

However, he was seen by reporters, and photos of Park Bo Gum with short hair were released on the same day. On August 31st, Park Bo Gum joined the Navy Education Command in Jinhae, Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province.

 

Just as announced, Park Bo Gum entered the education command quietly as he wore a black jacket and black sneakers with a black cap. Many, including the new recruits, did not recognize Park Bo Gum because of his cap and mask.

 

What also was eye-catching was his short hair that was visible under his black hat. He entered the training command at 2 PM on this day. Just as requested, there weren't many fans that have gathered at the site and there wasn't any commotion.

 

The trainees would be tested for the COVID19 virus before entering into the training command and the results of the virus testing will be released on September 1st KST.
