He was popular enough to have loud crazy fans defending him when he was jailed. I knew one drama of his that was about to be shown when the scandal broke. That drama is indefinitely shelved though there are talks of re-shooting his scenes with probably a more famous, veteran actor so that the huge investment can be recouped.

 

I don't know about his acting as I'm not sure if I've already seen him, since I can only recall the names of the actors/actresses or the characters they played be it main or support if they left a deep impression on me. 

 

Given that the Chinese censors would have had pulled out all his previous dramas or films he was part of, and won't air the unreleased ones, I'm quite relieved that he didn't end up as male lead in one of my favourite Cdramas.

 

His victims, especially the kids, are pitiful. At the very least he's cancelled by the govt authorities no less, and he would be imprisoned for a long time.

@MayanEcho With that behavior, I am wondering if he did similar things to his fans while being an active idol in Korea? And if he did, how much was swept under the rug? Have heard that the idol entertainment business is extremely dirty.

Who knows? I can bet though that he might have done something like that too even before he became an idol.

 

It was hard enough him getting found out in China.

 

I did see some footages of him being touchy with a young teen showbiz personality, and luckily for her, there was an elder actress in that same show who was shielding that young girl from his advances while they were filming. It was sickening to watch. He was a shameless predator.

Btw, "Your Honor" is one excellent kdrama. I rewatched it last year and @Sleepy Owl dongsaeng rewatched it in January. Both of us agreed that it just gets better with every rewatch. @agenth maybe you should watch it?

@JungAhIrin Hobi’s laugh always makes me smile. Which is why Darker Hobi was harder to get used to, because there was no laughing there.  But he and all the boys are great.

The Grammys are tonight in Los Angeles. I just looked at the nominee list and saw that Maneskin is nominated for Best New Artist. Wonder how they’ll dress for the ceremonies?

Dark Hobi was BEAUTIFUL!!! The angst in that album made me fall in love with him even more. I’m an ex punk rock/emo fan so this album excited me. 
 

Yoongi is actually one of my MAJOR bias-wreckers. So… we can gush over him anytime. 
 

Why is V Raccoon Oppa?? That’s an interesting nickname. 
 

Namjoon…  I ADORE that man! He’s my second bias-wrecker! BEAUTIFUL man!!!

The ML is a twin. His twin brother is always the righteous guy who does well in school and becomes a judge.

Whereas the ML is a rebellious guy who ends up in jail and is always angry at the world (rightfully so because his judge twin brother has kinda screwed him over and his mom loves his judge brother more).

 

His tattoo doesn’t really signify an angel. It signifies the word ‘angry’ (which the ML is) - Koreans write ‘r’ as ‘l’. Hence angry becomes angle.

 

In any case, things get interesting when his judge brother suddenly disappears and the ML has to act like his brother in order to hide from some bad guys who are after him fresh out of jail…

 

This drama is seriously so good. It is in my top 10 best kdramas ever

@partyon I've never really heard about him except when they were promoting the supposedly new drama "The Hairpin". Then the scandal broke out already. And he has this sinister and evil look. So my feelings about him was pretty right when I saw his face for the first time.

@partyon  I very much agree with you - Currently, he's not working 24/7. So, he does have personal down time to chill and be himself. I admire him that he remains faithful to himself. So NICE to see him happy in his recent live-video. Jungkook loves ordering food whenever he's in the mood to do so. It's a well-known habit that he really loves getting close to the camera. He loves to get up close and personal with the camera at all times! His hair has become long. It's still very appealing and attractive in my eyes. Fans love him unconditionally for everything that he does.  

 

Well, I guess some people have a different opinion on his numerous tattoos on his body. If they don't like it let him be. Like you, I also don't mind it. Jungkook's tattoos are gorgeous, they are meaningful to him. I'm here to support Jungkook. In South Korea, they still hold a negative stereotype towards people who have tattoos as in the past it was related to clan members or gangsters. To this day, various K-pop idols who have tattoos must cover them up with bandages, patches or makeup when appearing on music programs, news or entertainment shows, due to media policies especially KBS, which is a public television station. This channel has strict protocols compared to its cable TV counterparts, of course fans are not happy about this and on several occasions have demanded that the conservative policy be changed. This happened to him.
