hahahha... yea it is a daily drama and we are usually eating dinner around that time. so she has seen bits and pieces. I was really amused that she was yelling at the TV. and it was very mom/aunty type response feels - how dare he treat his mom that way?

Eeyup! Kabsa is very popular in Saudi, usually chicken topping the list, then lamb, then beef. I haven't tried camel kabsa yet, hahaha!

Hehehe, you can have papad as a side, but more often than not it would be chutney or lemon drizzled lettuce salad with kabsa. 

 

I can eat kofta kabob all day...

@MayanEcho we call this papadam here in my side. Papad is popular and tasty snack food of India. Black Pepper,  Garlic, Clove and Cinnamon are the available flavors here in different proportion.

My hosts when I visited India used to make their own papad. Ahh, good times. They were so eager to fatten me up, I must've have been given two full plates of everything every mealtimes while I was there.

Good morning! Stuck in the house for most of the day...

I will make Tom Kha Kai soup...minus the kaj because I don't eat meat. 

Besides the mediterranean tomato soup my BF makes, this is my favorite soup. 

 

Something we'd like to try is seaweed...does anyone know any simple nutritious recipes?

I ate vegetable cream soup with croutons for lunch today. It was good. I like tomato soup also.

My fridge is empty because a new one will be delivered today. Should have planned this better.... luckily my mom is on the way with small groceries for soup.

probably a food that @Thong Thin @Min2206 @Wuzetian can relate to more, since i guess most chingus dun really see salted veggies much at where you're at?

 

it's a comfort food.. especially after a hectic work day

No, because of the Covid 19. The situation is bad here so the goverment decided to give the schools two week vacation.
