I have been asked to make this drink - just did.  Mom bought the Monk's fruit.   Is it called Monk or Buddha's fruit.

Buddha's fruit or also known as Momordica fruit. My family make with Old Cucumber without sugar as the fruit itself have its unique sweetness.

My first time doing, but have drink many times, homecooked and outside.

Old cucumber?  My first time learning this.   I put in exactly the above 3 items with 1.5L of water   No rock sugar.

Thanks!

In  chinese we called it Lo Han Guo aka monk fruit.

The monk fruit itself is sweet, so I omit the other 2 stuffs when boiling.

@Wuzetian never heard boil with old cucumber.

I first tasted Chai Kueh in Malaysia!  Love it!

Glad you love the Malaysian Chai Kueh.

How about those from Hong Kong and Singapore ?

@sadthe1st    have you tried this.

hahaha, when comes to food, you are the first that comes to my mind.

Yes it is thirst quenching as cucumber has lots of water content and it is cooling in nature paired with Lo Hon Guo (Cantonese) which soothes the throat.

@Min2206 All of your 3 ingredients are sweet enough :) I normally peel off each seed so each of it will release its flavours rather than a clump of it. Coz I usually suck the seeds and this was my observation.

I have many recipes for soup or just for teas with Lo Hon Guo. Just let me know if you wish to have it.

Is sold widely in Chinese medical hall or in China town market.

The fruit is very light and is the size of a tennis ball.

My grandma claims is sort of herbal drinks.

It is a fruit which is part of our Chinese Herbs/Medicine. There are many benefits to this fruit. Lo Han (Mandarin)/Lo Hon (Cantonese) the word itself refers to Monk. And as we know monks cultivate and practice Buddhism leading to Enlightenment thus it has 2 names. This is not to be confused with Buddha's Hand Citron. The beneficial properties of this fruit are for soothing the throat and treatment for dry cough, sore throat and extreme thirst. Also good for preserving the voice like singers. Only found in China and Thailand.

Do you know Jollibee owns Coffee Bean since 2019? When Jollibee Foods, the Philippine-based fried chicken chain acquired The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf,  it gave a push to the chain that had been stagnant for some time in the U.S. ... Now, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf competes very effectively with Starbucks.

wow, i din know jollibee owns CBTL!! they have the intensifying spicy chicken burger here

dun ask me if it's good cos i'm weak with spicy food.. my tongue might walk out of my mouth in protest.
