Hey there Chingus

Penguin Hello GIF

@larus, @partyon Noona, @Min2206 won't say I am a mosquito magnet, but I have had quite a hard time with them during my college time. I along with my room mates would set up the mosquito repellant coil just outside our room, so that the mosquitoes stay away from the door, and not enter when we would go out or someone get in the room.

burning-mosquito-colis-repellent-located

Since none of us liked the smoke of it, we would not set it up in the room.

@Lmangla Noona, it was really a shocking scene, a player suddenly collapsing like that and not even moving with his eyes open. My cousin messaged me, worried that he died since he was not at all moving, and honestly, I was scared that would happen. There have been news about players dying on pitch due to heart attack. A lot of credit goes to the Denmark team captain, Simon Kjaer, who was quick in stopping Erickson from swallowing his tongue, opening airway for him to breathe.

Soon after once the meds arrived he and Peter Schmeichel when to Erickson's partner and consoled her.

@joccu, @Ameera Ali just read that Erickson facetimed with his team mates, encouraging them to continue the game as he was now feeling better. I am quite relieved that he feels better now. I just hope he'll be back on the pitch and his career does not end like this.

I don't follow football but read about it in the news. It's unlikely that he'll be able to ever return to playing again, to my understanding.  At least, that's what several cardiologists were commenting in some articles.

I think the same could be the case, but really hope it will not be the case. This actually happened to Spain's Goal Keeper, Iker Casillas when he was in training, and had to retire from football the next year having not played for a year concentrating on his recovery :bawling:

Erickson, he is just 29, and was literally at the peak of his career. So I will more sad if he has to retire, but if it really was heart attack (which I am pretty sure was), I don't think he can play any longer :cries:

It is sad that he won`t continue his career but he is alive. Others were not that lucky. I read about many cases and all were very young, even younger then Erikson.

He will cheer his colleague outside the football field. It is bitterweet. I am really happy that he is among us.

Count me in to the league too! If they are flying in the air and within my radar, I'll kill them with my single bare hand! That's how I exact my revenge on them!

Humans could overcome hardship. I remember about a Romanian football player who became paralyzed following a collision with a teammate in training in 2010 (he was at a Dutch team at that time). His mother died of cancer a few years later, his father killed himself, his wife left him, he had to battle depression for many years. He overcome all these hardship. Recently he  opened a foundation to help children with disabilities and has a new job, interior designer.

Exemples like this are remarkable.

@joccu, @larus, @Ameera Ali of course its great that he survived, and I think he is too lucky. I think we would have lost him if his captain wouldn't have been quick in performing first aid on him, and the referee not being quick in asking the meds to arrive, and also currently the meds are better than before, since each team now has a proper doctor, and emergency staff are usually present in the stadiums. So yes, he was quite lucky to have survived it, and must be grateful for it, which I am sure he is.

For his football career, if he can't play, he can just try his hands on being a manager now. Most of the football players go this route, and if he also wanted to do the same, he can start a bit early. Julian Nagelsmann is just 33, and right now is among the best in the world. His football career came to an end when he was in early 20s, I think he was 21 due to a serious injury because of which he could not play football every again.

Apart from that, there are several other fields he could excel in if he wanted to. He is just 29 as we all know.
