Good Morning @Thong Thin  Very sunny lately.   CNY has always been sunny and warm.   Got tins of kuih kapit - mom is happy - one for her and one for grandma - not sure how nice they'll be.

Festive seasons is the time where you practically eat eat eat and put on the pounds !

Home made is always the BEST where you put in good ingredients.

I did try to make when mum was around, gosh.... sitting on the floor manouvering 8 moulds is no joke.

At the end of the day, your lower back is so tired.

hahaha, since then NO MORE BAKING love letters.

 

 

@sadthe1st  I dont quite fancy the fish skin product ( any flavours ) and have not tasted any ma lat snacks !

 

As for salted egg chips, tasted before. I won't go to the extra mile of buying but as a gift is ok.

irvins was the original salted egg fish skins then came a lot of other brands with same concept.. irvins was really pricey but most tourists seem to like it and Q to buy a lot back to their countries. but to curb poor business from lack of tourists, they collaborate with the major supermarts and now those are readily available off the shelves haha

 

i can't take spicy food, so anything ma la is out of the game for me

 

 

love letters are hard to make, especially the traditional rolled ones cos u have to start rolling when its all hot and soft on the skillet or whatever u call that thing.. else the moment it cools, the shape is fixed hahaha (and ugly ones get eaten happily by the kids watching around the person who's baking!)

@sadthe1st now that you mentioned the brand irvins, I recalled it was my first taste for Salted egg fish skin and it came all  the way from Sg, a gift my sister. She was telling me  how saleable the snack with long Q and selling like hot cakes.

 

@Min2206 those days still young can sit and squat for hours, now cannot lol.

Clients are so ignorant...send couples of emails no reply, called 3 times could not get the person incharge.

Left messages to get the person call back, also no reply.

Last resort, I whatsapp to the CEO and immediate action being taken by her.

I can get you here. I have seen clients, who expect a reply in mails as fast as one does on whatsapp and take their own time, sometimes too much time in replying back.
