Dhakra 41,492 Posted November 9, 2018 +2 @lynne22 Yeah, why not. Another opinion to decipher my mind. Especially since you are on the right track. Yeah, I always overthink stuff, multiple times until I have figured out every possible outcome. @LmanglaAm I really the only one who things that having a phone for 6 years isn't a big deal? It was exactly like you said, it was never broken, so why fix it? Earlier this year the battery was broken, so I just bought a new battery instead of a new phone. It did his job and I just never saw a reason to buy something new. And I never had the feeling of it being unusable old. Well, Fairy was art. Same as PNB. That's a different kind of sentimental, because I adore beauty and beautiful art. Crying at my dads funeral? No, didn't happen. But when I see a beautiful scene executed or a story well told, I just can't help and write an essay about it, to make sure that everyone knows how important and beautiful it is. Maybe this is some sort of sentimental. Remember the scene from Fairy where JH yelled at his mother/aunt when he found out that she just came because of money and not because of him? This scene was so strong and just thinking about it gives me goosebumps Or a scene @USAFarmgirlis familiar with, the scene from DotS where a victim gives his shoes to our heroine? It was such a small scene, it pretty much did nothing for the whole story, but this scene alone defined the drama for me. It showcased which horrors happen in these kind of areas. Not to forget the scene in DBS (still a horrible drama) where the guy jumps in front of DBS to protect her from getting stabbed and everyone on the thread asked why he would do that? And I was like: "Seriously!?" This stuff kinda makes me go nuts and break my shell of silence. 2
Lmangla 71,243 Posted November 9, 2018 246 @Dhakra ~ am not a tech person and I only switch phones when it is broken. so I end up using a phone over a few years. here, when battery is dead, you can't replace battery as they no longer sell them. so you have to buy new phone when that happens. 2
Dhakra 41,492 Posted November 9, 2018 248 @LmanglaCan't do that here either anymore, but my phone was so old that it still had a removable battery. So it was easy to fix. Oh, and not to forget songs. I could write an even bigger essay about songs. But they all make me rather melancholic than sentimental. 2
mouse007 16,039 Posted November 9, 2018 246 @Dhakra My husband is like you, he won't replace something unless that something doesn't work anymore or is just too slow. Good for you for having the discipline to stick to what works and being practical. I, for one, have a hard time not wanting new tech. Especially if it's faster and has more features. 2

mouse007 16,039 Posted November 9, 2018 230 Question for you guys - was the Member Title field always there as an option in the Profile page? For some reason I just noticed it today and I don't remember if it had always been there. LOL
Guest Posted November 9, 2018 (edited) Congrats @mouse007 on your 1,000 post and hang in there at work too! It's a lot worrying about your children and dealing with everything else as well. Life is often so fast paced that it's hard when your plate is so full and your heart is somewhere else with two children who are blessed to have a Mom like you... Don't look now @Dhakra I think your posts prove my point that you are sentimental about scenes in dramas, about songs and when it comes to friends... Some here are new but you can back read our thread and find all the ways Dhakra has been opinionated sometimes but sentimental too within our past. It's been an amazing two years that some of us have been here together. I have a ton of memories and am thankful for those here who gave more than I ever thought possible. So much more... Justice @triplem I bring forth my evidence your HONOR.... Sentimental in the dictionary says dealing with feelings of tenderness, sadness, or nostalgia... When looking back I could write so much but one of the most tender expressions and a true sentimental gift given freely. Is still within my memories and among them is a video that Dhakra made to cheer up Catch who was one of our own. When she was struggling in the hospital for her life. He stepped out in faith and in his making a video for her he allowed her to see who he really was and in trying to make her laugh at a time when she really needed it. It meant more to her than my words can express. More than he will ever know. He allowed her to see his face, hear his voice and share his thoughts in giving her the thing she needed most HOPE... Knowing him I don't even want to think about how many times he thought about what to say, what to do and worried about how it would come across... Something he shared about toys having a special reminder and Lego's not to long ago most of you remember that right? Because things, songs, dramas are linked to his thoughts and feelings of appreciation and memories... Mind you he doesn't make a big deal about it nor are his feelings up in lights but it doesn't mean it's not there or that it's not true... The reason I call him and a few others Knights, is because at some point they were that in my eyes. He rescued me during a contest here on Soompi once that @lynne22 @kokodus and some others the DOTS team were a part of and I am sure they remember. It's a long story but trust me it happened and I will never forget it...LOL Bless his heart and either will he... Well your Honor Triplem... My deepest respects and yet please know It's hard to place ones thoughts of a person in a box when others may not see or know everything I have seen and know to be true. How can I make you see what is real to me? -2 Edited November 10, 2018 by Guest correction of course :{
