I homesick all the time even though I have been living overseas for almost 20 years..... I just went home last March and October. Talking about cooking Indo foods, they don’t even have lengkuas here and fresh kunyit only recently available, don’t talk about melinjo and it’s family..... Tell me how do I cook Soto, Rendang, Sayur Asem etc without it....

"Gratis" also means free in german.  But like @cenchingsaid, it has its origins in the Latin language. And dutch is based on the germanic language.

I am in PH so it’s completely Asian but funnily none of those available in any market. I do bring some dried herbs from Indo but limited because you never know which one is prohibited. For sure melinjo and lengkuas are off limits...

 

No Indo restaurants here...

HOLY richard simmons MOTHER OF HELL!!!!!!! What in the world is wrong with her??!?!?  Is she insane?!?!?! Why would she kill him?!?!? Is she stupid?!?!? Can't she see that it's all a trap?!?!? Why wouldn't she believe him?!?!?THIS IS BAD. WORSE. Worser than Yehua plucking away Susu's eyes. SHE LITERALLY KILLED HIM. And it doesn't seem like its a spur of the moment thing. She clearly has planned this all along. Omg I can't believe she did that. I need time to process this.
