Actor Lee Jong Suk has been confirmed to be acting in SBS Wed-Thurs drama, Pinocchio, starting in November.

Pinocchio is about a group of society reporters who chases after the truth. It is a youth melodrama about a group of youth who spend all their time together as though they were fighting a war, and how their feelings changes and blends into an exciting time together. (T/N: omg i’ve no idea how to translate this paragraph >_<)

Lee Jong Suk will display his sincere acting with the role of the male lead, Choi Dalpo, who is a society reporter. This drama would be another collaboration between the production crew of SBS drama “I Hear Your Voice.”

SBS said, “For a long time, we had in mind the casting of Lee Jong Suk for the character of Dalpo. As SBS’s highly anticipated drama in the second half of the year, we are looking forward to creating another good piece of work together with Lee Jong Suk’s growing acting.”

Also, Lee Jong Suk’s rep said “From when we were still working on the previous project, we have been receiving love calls from the director and writer, who had been planning the project with Lee Jong Suk in mind for the role of Dalpo. Also, we are very honoured to be able to work with this good team of staff again. We are really looking forward to it.”

Pinocchio will have Park Shinhye as its female lead, and is scheduled to be broadcasted in November.

It has been confirmed that actor Lee Jong Suk will be starring in “Pinocchio” as the lead male role alongside actress Park Shin Hye, who also announced her casting in the drama last week.

The actor will be taking on the character of Choi Dal Po in the new SBSWednesday-Thursday drama scheduled to begin airing in November. Lee Jong Suk is prepared to display his sincere acting by transforming into his role as a social affairs reporter.

A SBS representative shared, “Actor Lee Jong Suk, whom we’ve had in mind as the character of Dal Po for a long time, has made his decision for casting. We are looking forward to the birth of another great production in the second half of the year through Lee Jong Suk’s developed acting.”

A representative of Lee Jong Suk’s agency revealed, “[He] has consistently been receiving love calls from the director and writer even while he was filming his previous project, as they were planning the production with him in mind for the role of Dal Po. It’s an honor for him to work with such great staff once again. Please look forward to it.”

“Pinocchio” is the work of writer Park Hye Ryun and director Jo Soo Won, who also worked together to create the popular drama “I Hear Your Voice,” through which Lee Jong Suk earned much love from viewers.

All the ‘Jongsuk fans’ in the industry is hurrying to give us gifts leading up to his birthday! In addition to SBS announcing their casting, now Ceci has announced that they will be publishing a photobook for Jongsuk’s birthday. (I, for one, am so excited because Ceci photoshoots always bring out something wonderful in him.)

According to TOPSTARNEWS, this will be the first published photobook for him. It is the special 20th anniversary edition for popular fashion magazine ‘Ceci’. Actor Lee Jong Suk had done three photoshoots with Cecilia between 2013 and 2014; and now he has done a new black and white photo shoot to complete this photobook. An interview was also conducted. Other B-cuts and behind the scenes photos that have never been revealed will also be included.

Actually, the first edition of Ceci was published on the same day as Lee Jong Suk’s birthday, September 14th. This collaboration has a special meaning for both parties.

The staff said that the 2 leads of Pinocchio already had a meeting a few days ago. Jongsuk was very casual, wearing just a T-shirt and jeans. Their height and jeans were very compatible. She/he said Jongsuk has always been very good at everything he did, and that Shinhye had a cheerful personality and was really friendly to the staff. The staff all “melted” after meeting these two because the atmosphere was really good.

The staff also said, during the meeting, Jongsuk and Shinhye both got really high discussing the drama, and Shinhye laughed and hit him. Very coincidentally, Jongsuk has a habit of hitting people next to him when he is excited. The two are very close, they were originally already good friends, and their personalities were really good, so they are looking forward to the two of them working together.

The staff also talked about Jongsuk’s small little actions. Previously when they were filming, time was really tight and everyone was tired. There were a few times when the staff accidentally fell asleep and delayed the progress of the shoot. When the director was really angry and was about to scold the staff, Jongsuk would say “It’s just nice that I can use this time to go to the washroom, just nice.” The director would then be unable to continue scolding, and everyone thought that Jongsuk was really smart and compassionate.
