Rumour has it that Taiwanese actress Ariel Lin and her businessman boyfriend Charles Lin are planning to tie the knot on Christmas Eve this year. According to media reports, the lovebirds are in the midst of planning their wedding, which will allegedly be held at The Ambassador Hotel in Taipei.

It is also reported that the couple intends to throw a 50-table banquet that costs over NT$1 million (approximately S$40,000).

Although Ariel and Charles have been acquainted for more than 10 years, they only developed feelings for each other in 2011, when they were the bridesmaid and groomsman at the actress' cousin's wedding.

After Ariel relocated to London for further studies last September, Charles reportedly flew over to visit his girlfriend on numerous occasions. Sources also revealed that he successfully proposed to the It Started with a Kiss star during her birthday vacation in France last October.

When asked on the couple's marriage plans, Ariel's manager claimed that 'it is impossible until the actress completes her course'.
