Seong Joon in "Finding True Love"

Actor Seong Joon was offered a role in "Finding True Love".
According to his agency, Seong Joon is considering the conditions of the KBS 2TV drama "Finding True Love". Decisions will be made within the week.
Seong Joon was offered the role of Nam Ha-jin, a cosmetic surgeon with good looks. He will be part of a three-way romance between Jeong Yu-mi (Lee Room) and Eric Moon (Kang Tae-ha).
"Finding True Love" is a three-way romance story about a girl who breaks up with her boyfriend and finds another love when her ex-boyfriend comes back and begs for forgiveness. To be broadcasted in August.

Sung Joon joins ‘True Love’

The team of much-awaited KBS drama series “Finding True Love” has cast actor Sung Joon as the boyfriend of Jung Yu-mi, according to local media reports yesterday. 

The upcoming series has been creating a buzz in the industry for a while since it was reported last month that Eric Mun and Jung, who co-starred in the 2007 MBC drama “Que Sera, Sera” together, would team up once again. Screenwriter Jung Hyun-jung of tvN series “I Need Romance,” in which Jung and Sung appeared in the second and third seasons, respectively, will write the story. The three will be involved in a love triangle in the new drama. 

Sung Joon, who was rumored to be dating Suzy of K-pop band Miss A last year, debuted as a fashion model but moved into acting after appearing in the eight-episode KBS special drama “White Christmas” (2011).

“Finding True Love” is set to air in August.

The role that Sung Jun is currently being fixed into is plastic surgeon, Nam Ha Jin. He will be involved in a love triangle between Shinhwa′s Eric and Jung Yumi. 

As a model-turned-actor, Sung Jun decorated his resume with KBS′ White Christmas, jTBC′s Can We Get Married, MBC′s Gu Family Book, tvN′s I Need Romance 3 and more. 

Meanwhile, Discovery of Romance will air after the conclusion of Trot Lovers.

Sung Joon is considering yet another romantic role and perhaps also the title of romcom king. He just finished playing the role of songwriter Joo Won in the noona romance "I Need Romance 3." And now he is considering a role in the upcoming KBS romantic comedy "Finding True Love."

He has been offered the role of Nam Ha Jin, a handsome cosmetic surgeon. He will form a love triangle with actress Jung Yu Mi and former Shinhwa member and actor Eric Moon. In that drama Jung Yu Mi plays Lee Room, a girl who breaks up with her boyfriend and starts dating a new man. Then the ex-boyfriend returns and asks her for forgiveness. Jung Yu Mi's character is torn between her new love and her old love. Both men have a lot to offer. Jung Yu Mi's character finds it hard to make up her mind.

If Sung Joon is indeed going for the title of romcom king, it's fitting that his co-star in the upcoming drama will be Jung Yu Mi, who has been called the romcom queen. Jung Yu Mi appeared in "I Need Romance 2."

Eric Moon will play the ex-boyfriend Kang Tae Ha, the director of an interior design company. He's smart, charismatic and eager for a romantic reunion. It will be a reunion for Eric Moon and Jung Yu Mi. The actors appeared together in the 2007 drama "Que Sera Sera," and have proven they have romantic chemistry.

Romantic comedies are not the only kinds of roles that Sung Joon has played. Most notably he played Suzy Bae's bodyguard and devoted follower in "Gu Family Book." He also played the at-first unwilling leader of the high school indie band in "Shut Up Flower Boy Band," which also had a love line. But if he does accept the role in "Finding True Love," this would make his third romance in two years.

He romanced Jung So Min in "Can We Get Married" a drama about love and marriage. Then he romanced actress Kim So Yeon in "I Need Romance 3."

The comedy will reunite two of the actors with the screenwriter for their previous romcoms.

Jung Hyun Jung, the screenwriter for "Finding True Love" was also the writer for "I Need Romance," "I Need Romance 2" and "I Need Romance 3."

"Finding True Love" is set to air in August and according to Sung Joon's agency, casting should be confirmed this week.

Actor Sung Joon is in final negotiations to appear in KBS’ upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Finding True Love.”

A representative of O& Entertainment, Sung Joon’s agency, stated on June 10 that “Sung Joon recently received an offer to appear in ‘Finding True Love’ and is in final negotiations right now. The role is a character named Nam Ha Jin who is Eric‘s rival in trying to win Jung Yoo Mi‘s love. He should be able to decide this week if he will appear in the drama.”

Nam Ha Jin is a specialist in plastic surgery with an emotional personality, and is the lover of the female lead Lee Rum (Jung Yoo Mi), and the rival of Jung Yoo Mi’s ex-boyfriend Kang Tae Ha (Eric). Nam Ha Jin’s emotions change when he sees Lee Rum wavering on her feelings.

“Finding True Love” is a romantic comedy from writer Jung Hyun Jung, who write the tvN drama “I Need Romance” seasons one through three.  The drama depicts a story of a female searching for true love when her ex-boyfriend reappears. “Finding True Love” will air in August after “Trot Lovers.”

Meanwhile, Sung Joon made his debut through the KBS series “White Christmas” and followed up with “Shut Up Flower Boy Band,” “Can We Get Married?” and “Gu Family Book.”

I`ve wanted to watch this drama since I heard about it. I like the writer and the protagonists but now with Sung Joon on board I will definitely watch. I know that second leads have a ”doomed faith” from the beginning but I hope this time he has a real chance to win the girl in the end if he is the perfect gentleman.  Please drama don`t let me see the heartbroken Sweet Potato Nam Ha Jin who is describe as a warm and gentle man.
 
I can`t wait for this drama. I found another drama to be excited.

Yay for the veteran ladies as well. I can`t stop thinking. What`s up with the writer? She cast two of her leading actors in another drama together, a drama who seems quite similar with I Need Romance franchise. Hope we don`t see Joo Wan and Yeol Mae in this drama. Now I am curious what role she has in mind for the two of them. And for the lead man.

Looks like Eric is up to challenge with a character with some flaws with Discovery of Romance eh?  Who would root for a guy left his ex-GF for whatever reason then tries to win her back after realizing she's the true love.  Beside, there's such good looking, qualified Guy like Nam Ha Jin.  It's always nice to play the good guy that everyone root for .    

I just hope the writer gets good character development for all 4 leads.  I just don't want to go through another Spy Myung Wol again when they ditched the leads and give better character development for the 2nd leads half way though... Aalso hope DoR won't be another sequel of INR.......

I don't mind lot of romantic scenes and kisses lol but the back & forth, back & forth in the love triangle will make me pull my hair out XD
