They look awfully cute together, don’t they? The first batch of stills and teasers are out for tvN’s new Friday-Saturday drama Marriage Not Dating, a romantic comedy about a woman who wants to marry and a man who doesn’t. In real life, you might say that’s a good reason to split up; in dramaland, it’s a prime reason to force them together into a contractual relationship. Because love is fleeting, but contracts are forever? Wait, is that not the lesson to be learned here?

'Marriage, Not Dating' releases teasers starring Yeon Woo Jin and Han Groo
Yeon Woo Jin and Han Groo hinted on their love-hate relationship in teasers for the upcoming tvN weekend drama 'Marriage, Not Dating'!
The teasers show a woman who wants to get married and a man who doesn't. Although the onscreen couple look like they're happily in love, in a hilarious twist, Yeon Woo Jin ends up letting go of Han Groo's hand with a smile to show his preference for the bachelor life.
The 16-episode series is written by Joo Hwa Mi and will be directed by PD Song Hyun Wook. The drama portrays the story of successful bachelor Gong Ki Tae (Yeon Woo Jin), who gets pressure from his family to settle down. He devises a plan to introduce Joo Jang Mi (Han Groo) as his girlfriend who he thinks would never get his family's approval for marriage. 2AM's Jinwoon will play bad boy Han Yeo Reum who has got both riches and looks but doesn't believe in love until he meets Joo Jang Mi. SECRET's Sunhwa will be playing the role of Kang Se Ah, who has got everything going for her as Gong Ki Tae's fellow medical school colleague and works as a specialist under her father's cosmetic surgery clinic.
The drama is currently in the process of casting and will crank in this month. It's scheduled to premiere following 'Gabdongi' on July 4 at 8:40 PM KST!

Upcoming tvN weekend drama 'Marriage, Not Dating' unveiled posters of its cute and charming cast!


The posters show Yeon Woo Jin and Han Groo throwing bachelor and bachelorette parties with friends 2AM's Jinwoon, SECRET's Sunhwa, Heo Jung Min, and Yoon So Hee. It’s Time for Summer Love for KARA in “Secret Love”


Catch the KARA girls falling in love in the five-part television miniseries, “Secret Love.”
The pilot story, “Bucket List Number 13″ aired on June 13 featuring Goo Hara and Kim Young Kwang. Hara plays an average, girl-next-door  too shy to confess her feelings to a guy she’s liked for years. She, however, discovers that she is terminally ill and that her days are numbered. With nothing to lose but time, she creates a bucket list of everything she wants to accomplish in her last three months. Her brave, but comic adventures escalate to a whole new level when she rescues Kim Young Kwang from drowning himself in the ocean.
The next four stories, spanning out in eight more episodes, will feature Nicole, Ji Young, Seung Yeon, and Gyuri in their romantic, bittersweet encounters with Lee Kwang Soo, Bae Soo Bin, Yeon Woo Jin, and Ji Chang Ok Wook, respectively. The third episode will air on June 27, each forthcoming episode released every week.

This show has some really pretty promo material. The posters are out for tvN’s new Friday-Saturday romantic comedy Marriage Not Dating, featuring a happy bachelorette party, a doom-and-gloom bachelor party, and a wedding photo shoot where the bride kidnaps two men to haul to the altar. It cracks me up that there’s rope involved, especially since Yeon Woo-jin is really selling his character’s reluctance to get hitched.

Teasers for "Marriage Without Love" have been released.
Yeon Woo-jin and Han Groo have gone through massive transformation for the new tvN drama "Marriage Without Love".
Unlike the serious roles Yeon Woo-jin played in previous dramas such as, "When A Man's in Love", "Arang and the Magistrate" and others, this time around, his role is very comical. Yeon Woo-jin is a man who hates the concept of marriage and introduces a woman he'll never marry to his parents, who keep pressuring him to get married. In the teaser, he can be seen doing exaggerated movements and laughing wholeheartedly. The anticipation is rising thanks to Yeon Woo-jin's character transformation.
Han Groo who starred in "Little Girl K", "Can We Get Married??" and others, is also highly anticipated in this drama. She's a character who is obsessed with getting married and appears beautifully in a wedding dress. She turns comical, too, and makes various expressions, from happily imagining herself getting married to being surprised about something.
"Marriage Without Love" crew claims, "With Yeon Woo-jin and Han Groo have been doing such a great job, we wondered if these characters actually existed in them. The teaser is only a tip of the iceberg".
Meanwhile, "Marriage Without Love" is a 16-part drama about a man and a woman with different views in marriage. Gong Ki-tae (Yeon Woo-jin) takes home a girl named Joo Jang-mi (Han Groo) whom he thinks will never be approved by his parents. Actor Yeon Woo-jin and actress Han Groo talked about one another’s attractive traits during the press conference for their upcoming drama “Marriage over Love.”

During the conference held on June 26, the two actors were asked what they found charming about each other.

“I think Han (is charming) for her energy. She has a bright and optimistic personality and it helps (her) to work hard, too. Her real personality is very similar to her character in the drama,” Yeon said.

“When I first saw Yeon, I thought he was very different from the drama’s character. However, as time passed by, I was able to know that he had the ability to express the character’s charm,” Han was quoted as saying.

The two actors were selected as main characters for the drama. Han plays Ju Jang-mi, a woman who wants to get married and Yeon plays Gong Ki-tae, who hates the idea of getting married. 

The upcoming drama “Marriage over Love” is to be broadcast on tvN starting from July 4.

“I want to get married in my mid-late 30s,” actor Yeon Woo-jin, 30, said in a press conference for the tvN rom-com series “Marriage over Love,” which he’s starring in.

“I am very candid (about my feelings) -- I am not the kind of man who engages in emotional tricks between lovers,” he added. His philosophy on love contrasts sharply with his role as an elite plastic surgeon who dismisses the concept of marriage. 

On the other hand, Huh Jeong-min, who plays a son of a wealthy widow, said he began to enjoy the extra personal space during his past two years of bachelorhood. 

Huh, 32, said his past romantic life was completely distant from today’s “some culture.” He said he was usually involved in long-term relationships. 

The actor said he had three long relationships -- lasting six, three and five years -- before the end of his 20s. “I feel like I went through three marriages and divorces,” he said. 

“During those days, (in relationships) I was almost defined as someone of somebody, but … (now) I am getting used to living as a solo.”

Huh also pointed out that an increased income, which he called “not much but still larger than that in his earlier days,” helped him invest exclusively in himself. 

Meanwhile, the drama’s heroine, actress Han Groo, described Jinwoon, also one of the main characters of the drama, as a “playful man with the purity of a boy, just as shown in other entertainment shows.”
