Oh dear I just read that HXM is getting married on 1st Oct this yr. It seems that his ZZ's personality has brushed onto him in real life as he is truly spoiling his fiancee - 6 carat diamond ring with a wedding in France. After reading the article and some past news of his it's no wonder why he took up on this drama. I believe he said that he liked the script because the ZZ character is like him in real life. He wants to make his future wife the happiest woman in the world and give her everything he can. I believe his doing that just like ZZ for JX. 
Never knew a man like that exists... wishing him much happiness and hope she returns the love too. 
 But I also take the news in lightly as I also wonder how much these news are exaggerated from the media. Nevertheless his intentions are there and well publicised.

Hi guys just wanted to say hello because im a new fan of this drama.   Im waiting ep 19 english subbing.   
I enjoy the otp chemistry alot.   Im a fan of Joe thanks to Fated to Love You but i like her more with HXM.
I adore the hero ZZ, he is cute to his girl and he is a hardcore gangster.  Good to hear the series have happy ending.  
In eps 16-18 JX has become moved, softer to ZZ since after that dance.  I hope to see the otp getting together in a good way.

Finally finished marathoning this long drama! I am satisfied with the drama overall and who can deny Huang Xiao Min's excellent fighting scenes and that body! The ending was a bit meh, but hey, I'll take it!

Finally I watch it too even until 31 ep. I watch it with sub until ep 26, after that without sub... but yeah... like sub like the story... it begin with such solid story and beautiful act by the leads. The story that focus on chen qiao en is more interesting than the heavy story of huang xiao ming... so after ep 26 I lost much interest. I don't know about the ending but the story lost it grip, so I need to gather my interest again to watch it until end...

I like the turmoil of the love story not turmoil of the life story.

But after all, I like first 2/3 of the drama...

The moment he came back, he went straight to Jin Xiu’s room, taking off his black wool coat and throwing it on the chair, “Is Jin Xiu feeling better?”

Jin Xiu looked at him silently, he was wearing a white shirt, chestnut colored vest and his hair was damp from the humidity outside, after not sleeping for two nights, his eyes were red, and his exhaustion could be seen at a glance.

Zuo Zhen wiped his face and sat by the bed, “I went to visit Ying Dong, he’s doing well and has already woken up. He’ll recover soon, don’t worry.”

Jin Xiu just smiled, those drops of sorrow and grief that rolled past her heart, what was that?

He cared so much about her, telling her about Ying Dong the minute he came back, hurrying to put her at ease but he didn’t know that from the moment she saw him, she was already at ease.

“Aren’t you tired?” Jin Xiu asked gently, “I’m fine, you’ve already been so busy for two days, go and rest.”

Zuo Zhen smiled, “Can’t sleep.” He reached out to touch Jin Xiu’s forehead, secretly breathing in relief, much better, it was no longer hot to the touch.

Jin Xiu’s heart beat fast. For some reason, she suddenly felt hopeful that Zuo Zhen’s hand would linger for a while more on her head, perhaps during illnesses, people would become more sensitive and weak, hoping for the concern of others, that was how she comforted herself.

“Rest here for the time being.” Zuo Zhen looked passive, “It’s not safe outside, the harbour, gambling dens and banks have been plagued by trouble, I’m afraid Bai Le Men would be dragged into this.” Actually he did not want Jin Xiu to step into Bai Le Men, he did not want to see her, for some reason or another to tolerate humiliation and sell her smiles.

​I agreed. The drama started so well and the terrible editing mess up the plot and transition in between. There are so many scenes that I anticipated were either short or being cut out. I'm so disappointed but overall I enjoyed the drama cos of the OTP <3 ^o^

“The Zhou family and Director Lee’s rings are still with them?” Zuo Zhen mused.

“Yes with them! There’s one far out in the north east, impossible to find. Now it seems that last ring, is most likely the one you’re investigation. Just that after the pawn shop sold it, we are still checking whose hands it has landed in.” Tang Hai said in one breath, giving a logical analysis.

Zuo Zhen frowned, “Any news of Ah Hui’s whereabouts?”

“No…not yet.” Tang Hai answered carefully, “But after searching every inch of the surroundings, there wasn’t any sign of Brother Hui, at least it means that he is still alive.”

“Ah Hao, did you get anything from interrogating Lian Chuan?” Zuo Zhen turned to ask Shi Hao.

Shi Hao turned red, “That fellow refuses to say a word. He has one last breath left, I’m afraid if we kill him, it’ll spoil matters.”

Zuo Zhen’s face turned a shade darker, “Leave him to be, I still have use for him.”

Shi Hao replied softly, “Yes, Er Ye.”

“Check the places he goes to often and who he has been spending time with recently.” Zuo Zhen continued, “No matter how careful he was, he might have overlooked some things, you better check carefully. He is willing to risk his life to protect that person, their relationship couldn’t have been simple.”

“Yes.”

Shi Hao walked towards the door, Zuo Zhen called him back, “Take more people with you and be careful. There’s no news about Ah Hui, I don’t want to hear that something has happened to you too. And send some guys to back up Ma Zi Liu, you guys better not go out alone.”

The security was tight and all the places were heavily guarded, everyone was already in position but Zuo Zhen still felt uneasy as though there was something important he had missed out, what was it?

“Er Ye, you mentioned that you sent people to monitor Boss Xing, the one who had land dealings with Ying Shao, we received reports from them that there was no movement, do you want to have them watched for a few more days?” Tang Hai interrupted Zuo Zhen’s thoughts.

“Yes, Er Ye.” Tang Hai agreed as he turned and left.

The sky turned dark, Zuo Zhen sat quietly in a large chair, his expression dark like a well, all his exhaustion and worry, sinking into the deepest part of the well.

At this moment, he needed to stand firmer than anyone else, look further than anyone else, think deeper than anyone else, he could relax not even for a while. If he made a single mistake, it would be an irreversible loss, an explosive confrontation between light and dark.

The darkness in the house thickened, the fire had extinguished, there was only emptiness and cold left.

Zuo Zhen closed his eyes. He could throw around gold like mud, buy wine, buy drunkenness, buy atmosphere and let the bustle and laughter surround him. But at this moment, he didn’t have the mood to hide the loneliness that followed him like a shadow, didn’t have the energy to paint a false picture to show his joy.

This is a very addicting serie. Once I've started I've watched all eps in one weekend. I've fast forwarded the second part though. The ending left much to be desired. It seems like they spend a lot of time on the early episodes and somewhere along they lost the overview. The second part has less focus on Jin Xiu and Zuo Zhen relationship. I wanted more romance. I've watched the version which has tv.sohu.com and HD on the screen.

I don't watch a lot of Chinese series since subs are not always available, not in sync or other issues. It's a crime to resync 40+ eps. And so many Chinese series has so many eps.
