I know how the members felt while they were at DMZ... I can relate... I felt the same way when I went for a medical mission in "Basilan, Mindanao (Philippines)". We were escorted by military soldiers... I'm longing for peace & unity in my country too... my country is not really divided but because of rebellious acts in Mindanao (Marawi, Cotabato & Basilan)... Still hoping for peace and unity.

I just finished watching the latest episode. Their adventures with the residents was funny, as always. The pond snail race was hilarious as CTH's snail had a "dramatic" win. The dinner game was ROFL-funny! Junho used the elderly lady to win against CTH was a sly move! But after all the fun and games, their journey to the DMZ and "crossing" it was very touching. The NK soldiers peeking through the windows in the T2 was kinda scary. Although understandable that they would be curious to see what's going on inside and why there are crew filming it. 

 

This is a very important moment in history for 1N2D. This is why I love this show. Every once in a while, they'd show something that would touch your heart.

They probably brought less staff along due to security reasons. Seems that they will be in an empty theme park next week, looking forward to all the fun they will have!

.....apart from President Moon, they are probably the first Koreans to take selfies and wefies at the DMZ. Is this the most neutral state of alert they ever had. They had multiple failed visits to that area in the past.....i don't remember there ever been such a relaxed atmosphere even during President Kim Dae Jung's visit........so surreal. Such lucky guys because you never know when the state of alert will change again.

 

Is the T2 room in that blue house where they used to have a dial telephone in a wooden box? Because they cannot talk to each other directly, they communicate through that archaic telephone. I don't see the wooden box anymore.  The table arrangement in the room is weird.

 

If there is gonna be another variety show covering this visit, it would probably not be Running Man. he he he. You run, they shoot :-

Oh my god. This episode is full of mixed feelings for me. At the first half it was filled with laughter and happiness, at the second part it was filled with nervousness, sadness and wishful thinking. I am not korean, so i don't quite comprehend what they must feel, but it was so special. The borders are what humans create and again the humans are suffering from it. I sincerely hope for world peace.

This episode started with laugh and end with tears for me. It was so fun playing with the villagers. They are used to with visitors. But I think this is the first time they just pure had fun with Korean celebrities without need to be interviewed about how they feel living in a village right next to the border.

 

The visit to Panmunjon gave me chill. The fact that it's so close, yet they couldn't cross the line. They couldn't even say hi to North Korea's soldiers. I wonder what those soldiers thinking when they saw the members and crew through the window. I'm sure they don't know they are celebrities. When there are many visitors and cameras like that, I wonder if NK soldiers try to find out who they are and why they come there.

 

The footages and background song in the end made me shed tears. Those families were separated because of war. Then they got a chance to reunite but had to separate again. I really hope SK and NK can finally united again. Then 2D1N can travel to NK and this time they can shout ilbak and North Koreans will say ill.

Other variety show that I could see visit Panmunjon is Mudo. But the show is over already so yeah. I can't think of other variety show that has a good reason to visit Panmunjon. Only 1N2D and Mudo that had touched issues related to Korean history deep enough to not look weird visiting that place.

Like Donggu I also enjoy enjoying 100 episodes of this wonderful program, thanks to DG I was able to meet all these wonderful people, my weekly vitamin, not only for me but for my family

 

I hope to enjoy Donggu another 1000 episodes more or more kekeke DONGGUUYAAAAAA......!!!!!

Some random thoughts here.  I don't post often, because I keep losing my password and I always have trouble logging in.

 

The last few trips have been really fun.  Watching the sporting event reminded me of some earlier trips.  There was one in Season 2 where the members had a sporting event in a seaside town with real sports commentators where they had to race using unusual objects.  I believe Joo Won had to run in a pair of high heels that were way to small for him (and not really his style).   Jong Min had to ride a tiny tricycle.

There was also a rafting competition in another Season 2 episode; the losing team was subject to a water punishment that was really hilarious.

Music reminded me of an episode way back in Season 1 where the members were high jumping.  This was really impressive to me, since Sugeun and Jong Min actually know how to do the Fosbury Flop!  Even Tae Woong (aka Dogfoot) was able to clear the bar.  Wherever did they learn to do this?  Do Korean kids typically learn to high jump in school? 

I also think Sugeun is the most talented guy to ever be a member on this show.  I was always amazed at his many skills, beyond being a comedian.  I really like Jun Ho, but the departure of Sugeun was a really big loss for the show IMO.
