teatoast
I'm confused, so do they release more than 1 episodes per day? thanks for all the updates for raws and schedules.
Guest amayah
@EmilyV I think they are the same versions. The special is just cut together with some scenes from future episodes. Hmmm I think (I could be totally wrong here since I understand zero chinese) the first scenes in ep 1 happens after her 'accident' in which she loses her memories. She probably gets flashbacks and therefore goes through history books to find there any connections with her flashbacks... Afterwards we probably got a jump back in time where she clearly still has her memories from the past since she follows the reborn version of her past lover, recognises 10th prince and Emperor Kangxi. Furthermore, she also has a flashback with her past lover when she watches her doppelganger sing...lol at least this would explain the whole thing. From the 10 min trailer, we get to know that the 4th Prince also has some Flashbacks. Could it be that after she loses her momories, he remembers first again? (he did say that if she can't come to him he will go to her) So, the BBJX show, she watches on TV, could be his way to make her remember? haha is my theory too far-fetched? o.O @kiyundy. Idk why they're airing the drama like this since I am not familiar with C-dramas but according to this week's schedule (on their homepage), we will get 2-3 episodes every day (Not clear about the weekend)...I just looked it up because on koalasplayground something like this was mentioned...(correct me if I am wrong)
Guest EmilyV
@amayah -- we may have to wait for the translated episodes to come out to confirm, since though i understand chinese, some of the complex phrasing and words get lost on me.the reason why i was confused is because some of the character conversations were different in the same scenes. for example, in the special preview scene where LSS is sitting on the steps outside of her office with a friend, he suggests a parallel universe theory to explain why she saw someone that looks just like her. however, in the same scene in the actual episode, they are talking about something totally different. same thing with the scene in the museum...in the special preview, she is having this interior dialogue that WQL recognizes her and he's come to her world. but in the actual episode, none of that narrative is there.then again, my chinese may be failing me. was just curious if anyone else noticed the same thing
Guest EmilyV
apparently i'm not losing my mind: https://www.facebook.com/liushishi0310/posts/10154062600760154(read comments) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154060413970154&set=a.388497700153.372651.388456225153&type=1looks like they re-dubbed some of the episodes (not sure why and which ones)
Guest amayah
@EmilyV Oh, I see. Sorry my bad -.- I should have waited for the subs b4 talking. Lol Thanks for the clarification! On this website ( http://www.avirtualvoyage.net/2014/04/cdrama-bu-bu-jing-qing-episodes.html ) the blogger is talking abt a DVD version and a TV version... Could that be the reason? Guest EmilyV
glad we could all figure it out together. someone said they had to re-dub because of the ban in mainland china on time-travel dramas. that's too bad...the original concept (the preview) is better. i hope the dvd version will be on the original concept
thitu
@EmilyV, I noticed that too when I watched ep 1 and 2, I was like how come Zhang Xao watching BBJX on TV, I thought what happened betn her and 4th ye was only in her memory of her past life and the actually history did not record about her existence as Rou Xie in that time period. Then how come the story is made into drama and Zhang Xao is watching it on TV, very confusing indeed. Well, that is how Ep 1 and 2 feel to me so far, I will keep on watching to see how the story unfolds.
Guest EmilyV
I prefer the original concept to the released episodes. it makes more sense. who watches a tv show where the main character looks exactly like you and you don't question it? Hopefully the edited version won't do the show a disservice -- I think part of what we were all looking forward to in BBJQ was the nostalgia and to see how RX and 4th's story ends. Now it's not even related (at least from what we can see in ep 1 and 2). Here are some more links another fan had found that explains the whole situation: http://linggluu.tumblr.com/post/8357...esnt-match-the http://linggluu.tumblr.com/post/8357...i-swear-so-the http://linggluu.tumblr.com/post/8357...e-version-with
Guest DJG
Why is BBJQ restricted, yet the Gong franchise is still pumping out more time travel versions of its story.
Guest amayah
Ahh right! Totally forgot about the ban. Two young girls committed suicide to time travel or something like that. Hence the ban. The drama must be rather weird from the beginning without the original concept. Now I am even more curious abt the subs for the TV version. How did they explain that Ruoxi cried when she saw Yinzhen who should be a 'stranger' for her without the reborn background story? Or why she ran after him? It would be kind of stalker-ish...And I think they forgot to cut out the flashback scene while she watched her doppelganger as well. Or is it a scene she remembered after watching the show? thitu
Oh man, They should have stuck to the original concept, I am very disappointed rite now. GrhhhHope the DVD version is not like this but is what we have seen in the preview.
picadrama
Hello guys! Since I understand Mandarin, I went ahead and watched Episode One without subs and recapped it! Hope it is helpful to you guys! Guest EmilyV
thanks for the recap! i think, since we all know what the storyline was supposed to be, it makes semi sense. but for someone who's never watched BBJX to understand the context behind the original concept, it's just a show about some girl who becomes obsessed after watching a period drama and start crying/chasing after people in her life that look like characters from the drama. Guest QinYiY
I watch till episode 5 already.. I dont get why there is Lan Lan in the show. In the original version, ZX did mention Lan Lan is maertai ruoxi who came to the present. But now it just doesnt make sense. LanLan seems to approach Yin Zheng with motive (my 6th sense)!!But good job Shishi!! She did a good job portraying this 2 different character!!Already missing the original cast - 8 and 14 prince >.<
Guest amayah
Ok, found this mentioned on another site. It seems like to be the original versions.
