Synopsis / Plot:


Jang Ha Na is a tomboy with charms and strong will. She's the  fourth daughter of  the son of a  family that's been making soy sauce for hundred of years.  She has to dress up like a man and act as the son because of their financial situation in order to inherit the family business.

Park Han Byeol as Jang Ha Na  / Jang Eun Seong 


She is like a Lion King  (famous cartoon character. In the cartoon, baby lion meets many difficulties. Young cute baby lion overcomes many difficulties, then, growing up as a king in the jungle)

She was 4th daughter in a respectful family. As she has no brother, she was raised as a son since 5 years old. (In some old historic family, they want to have son to be able to inherit family name) . Because she was raised as a son for a long time, she talks and behaves like a boy. She is a pretty woman-in-male-attire.

During the days when she lived as a boy, she struggled as she was not a boy.  During these present days when she lives as a female, she’s struggling as she never experienced a life as a girl.

But, she is lovely aggressive girl. She is a type that sees what-she-still-has rather than crying for a lost-thing.

Cynical man. His talking style is biting and spiteful. From his school age, because of his rebellious attitude, there was always trouble around him.

But, he has somewhat unknown mysterious charms. Since he meets Hana, his frozen heart melts.

Sleek and chic handsome gentleman who studied in Europe.

Since his mother died, he filled his mother’s position for his father and younger sister.

He is rich with luxury house, cars and he is the heir of wealthy family.

When he eats something hot or salty, his tongue cannot stand it and washing it with drinking liters of water.

She is a sensible, fashionable goddess in Gangnam. She has been a queen from elementary school to college. Usually, this kind of girl’s brain is not so smart. But, she is so smart that she uses men to earn what she wants.

Actress Park Han Byul will be making her silver screen comeback.

According to her agency, JF Entertainment, the actress has been cast as one of the main cast members of the upcoming SBS drama “A Well Grown Daughter.”  The agency told Star News in a phone interview, “Although the contract has not been signed yet, she has been positively reviewing it.” 

Park Han Byul will play the fourth daughter of a family who has been making soy sauce for hundreds of years. In the drama Park Han Byul’s character dresses up as a man because of her family’s financial situation.

Park Han Byul’s last drama was in 2011 for MBN‘s “Bolder by the Day.” 

“A Well Grown Daughter” will air its first episode in November.

If Park Han Byul accepted the offer, she will play the character of Jang Hana, the fourth daughter of a family that’s been making soy sauce for hundreds of years. She acts like a son with a spirited appeal and extraordinary endurance because of their state relating to money matters.

This will be her comeback appearance in a drama after two years since last 2011′s “Bolder by the Day” in MBN if she confirmed for the role.

Meanwhile, “A Well Grown Daughter” deals with one’s family works. Drama series will be broadcast in November as “Ugly Alert” successor.

Park Han Byul chopped off her long, luscious locks for a new surprisingly cute bob hairstyle for her SBS daily drama 'Well Brought Up Daughter Hana'!

Park Han Byul started her first filming at an arts high school in Gyeonggido last week and reportedly felt a little awkward monitoring herself, not used to her short hairstyle. But with the director and staff's compliments and support, she was able to smoothly make her boyish transformation.

'Well Brought Up Daughter Hana' portrays the story of love and success of a daughter who grows up much like the son of the family and also disguises herself as a man to inherit her family's 200-year-old soy sauce business. Park Han Byul will play the daughter Jang Ha Na and the fake son Jang Eun Sung.

'A Well Grown Daughter' will premiere on December 2 at 7:20 PM KST!

Hi @suchadiva42 and @gene71632. I'm joining the bandwagon for this one too. It looks a little fun, a little different from the regular revenge or candy girl daily dramas. I hope it doesn't blow up in our faces though!!!

I like a tomboy too @gene71632. Mostly because there's a chance she won't be a horrible weak character that you sometimes find is so many Kdrama female (and male) leads.

@guccigal328. I see you on a lot of dramas I also watch. Just want to say hello.

Wow daily drama again, but Park Han Byul and Lee Tae Gon in it, I love them.. It seems nice story... yeah now im stuck in 2 sbs daily drama.. :)
