*** Last night's (June 22) broadcast of “Insider” achieved an average nationwide rating of 3.184 percent. It just  marked a small dip in ratings from the previous week’s score of 3.3 percent.

*** It's week 3 for "Insider"...........  The drama has not caught on further after the ratings increased from the 1st to 2nd EP & the most recent EP5 got 3.184% ratings. The drama looks depressing. I hope it will increase more as the story progresses.

Although When The Camellia Blooms is fifty percent thriller, the other half is a mix of kilig and waterworks. Oh Dong Baek (Gong Hyo Jin) is a single mom who moved to the village of Ongsan to open her bar called Camellia. She wasn't liked a first since there's a stigma around single moms in her new place. Eventually, she was loved, cheered on, and protected by her neighbors. You'll adore Dong Baek's son, Pil Gu, who considers her as his best friend. On the other hand, Dong Baek and her own mom doesn't see eye to eye because she was neglected as a child but later on, she found out the reason behind this and began to appreciate her more.

***  KHN and Seohyun will reunite after years in the upcoming KBS' drama 'Curtain Call'. She has been confirmed to make a cameo. They previously worked together in 'Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo'. I’m excited to see them in one drama again after years.The drama is scheduled to premiere in the second half of this year (2022).

***  I’m sad  that Kang Ha Neul's drama "Insider" was caught up in a controversy after ridiculing monks and the Buddhist community.The pilot episode of the drama catches the attention of The Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, which demands to scrap the drama and stop it from airing. In the scene, Kim Yo Han (Kang Ha Neul) dresses up as a monk as an undercover and gambles inside a "gambling place" which was a Buddhist temple.The monks were seen illegally gambling at the pagoda’s Buddhist sanctuary. The monks can be seen placing a Hwatu card while shouting

 

“Avalokitesvara Guan Yin”.

*** The big-budget drama "Curtain Call" has finalized the main cast. Now, it looks ready to start filming soon. Originally, titled Tree Dies While Standing and last year Son Ye Jin was cast as the female lead. She turned it down and now the female lead is Ha Ji Won. Then, Jung Hae appeared to have this dropped as well because Kwon Sang Woo recently confirmed and from the character descriptions he is playing the 2nd male lead role. This is shaping-up to be huge production so, I hope the story is good. Looking forward to the drama to see KSW & KHN. They're my biases. I'm not sure if KHN &

 

HJW will have chemistry.

*** It's good that the production unit of "Insider" apologized to the Buddhism community due to the circulating controversy since its premiere.The whole team visited The Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism and sincerely apologized for the disturbance the drama had caused.To make up for the damage, the production unit cut all misleading scenes from the pilot episode and will also send out an apology about the belittlement of monks and Buddhism in episodes 3 and 4. I’m glad that the broadcasting of Kang Ha Neul's drama continues without fail, with cautiousness from then on. As a result, though, it is impossible to replay the drama’s episode 1 on the OTT platform TVING.
