*** “Pyeonggang” means 'broken heart' , this is the (working title) of the upcoming drama. The drama is said to be based on true story of Princess Go Ji Oh of Pyeonggang getting married to a commoner called Pabo Ondal. In Korean language"Pabo" means fool. The story is set in the Goguryeo Kingdom and Son Ye Jin will essay the role of eldest daughter of the king. *** I hope he will consider starring in the new Korean drama "Cut By the Heart" with Son Ye Jin. It is a historical drama about a princess who uses a foolish man’s feelings to her advantage. Son Ye Jin would play the princess with Kang Ha Neul as the foolish man for his role. "Cut By the Heart" is looking to air sometime next year, in 2021. It's an interesting pairing. It’s one I’ll be keeping an eye on. I like both the actors…but sageuk, not that much - hahaha. I don't really dig such kind of genre. But, no choice if KHN is starring on it.

*** KHN took home the Actor Award yesterday (September 10) at the 47th KBS Broadcasting Awards ceremony, hosted by the Korea Broadcasting Association. At the ceremony, Kang Ha Neul received his award and thanked everyone for their support.

"I thanked all the supportive seniors who I work with through 'When the Camellia Blooms' and I am happy for this award. One of the reasons for winning this award is the help of my co-star Gong Hyo Jin and I wanted to thank her for that."

The recent ceremony was Kang Ha Neul's first public appearance since he took home the Best Actor award from the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards in June this year. I was surprised with his bearded face and long hair. I guess this is his new look for his next character as Woo Cha Mi in the upcoming movie "Pirates 2". Kang Ha Neul indeed is an actor who transforms and immerses his whole body and mind to every character he portrays. "Pirates 2" will be released next year, in 2021.

*** Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak in South Korea again, this year’s ceremony for Seoul Drama Awards 2020 was “non-face-to-face,” which meant no winners or presenters attended. The ceremony was recorded with the smallest number of people present. It did not air live but the recording was broadcast on MBC on September 15. “When the Camellia Blooms” took home five awards, including acting awards for Gong Hyo Jin and Kang Ha Neul. Congratulations to both of you!
