Kim Go-eun received a sweet surprise from fans of her and her The King: Eternal Monarch star Lee Min-ho, on the sets of her upcoming K-drama Yumi's Cells. The actor revealed she got a coffee truck sent to her from international fan groups Arjenia Indonesia and LMHKGEFans (Lee Min-ho and Kim Go-eun fans).

 

The Goblin star took to her Instagram Stories and shared pictures of the truck. In the first, Kim Go-eun gave a good look at the coffee truck with the caption, "wow". In another, she gave a close view of the banner featuring the fan clubs' names. She shared the picture with a monkey emoji.

Watch: Rosé Joins Lee Suhyun, Onew, Kim Go Eun, And More As A Special Helper On Upcoming Seaside Variety Show

 

 

Upcoming variety program “Sea of Hope” released a teaser of the first episode starring BLACKPINK’s Rosé!

“Sea of Hope” is a new JTBC program in which celebrities will perform music and prepare homemade dishes for guests at their own seaside bar. The cast includes SHINee’s Onew, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun, Lee Ji Ah, Yoon Jong Shin, and AKMU’s Lee Suhyun, and the show’s first guest will be BLACKPINK’s Rosé.

The new teaser begins with clips of the cast members and Rosé singing. Rosé is introduced as a special employee, and she shares, “I’ll work hard on everything I’m told to do.”

Lee Ji Ah begins a presentation, kicking off the special conference to present their bar ahead of its launch. The specialists at the conference let out an endless stream of questions, asking about the design concept and the usage of electricity. On stage, Onew asks them to repeat the question because he couldn’t hear well, and he seems to deeply contemplate the answer.

The teaser cuts to the scenery of the beach in Pohang, and Kim Go Eun goes to explore under the sea. She shares, “It’s really cool inside.” The final clips of the teaser depict the cast enjoying the serene atmosphere of the beautiful seaside.

Recently, one past interview of Kim Sung Cheol with fashion magazine COSMOPOLITAN Korea resurfaced online. 
In this interview, Kim Sung Cheol talked about the time when he was still in college. 

As Kim Sung Cheol went to university with Kim Go-eun and Lee Sang-yi, he also told a fun story involving them. 

Kim Sung Cheol said, "There was this once when Go-eun fainted during a class. Sang-yi was the first person to notice it. As soon as when he saw her fainted, he ran towards her." 

He resumed, "Sang-yi was like, 'Oh my! What's going on? Go-eun!' But then he tripped over a bump really hard while running that one of his toenails came off."
He laughingly continued, "As he was in so much pain, everyone's attention turned to Sang-yi, instead of Go-eun who fainted."

He added, "Soon after that, Go-eun regained her consciousness and Sang-yi was immediately taken to the nurse's office. They were both fine."

JTBC's 'Wishing Sea' (director Song Kwang-jong), which will be broadcasted at 9 p.m. on the 29th, will reveal the chalk cake chemistry between the cast members 'Yoon Jong Shin, Ijia, Lee Dong-wook, Onew, Kim Go-eun and Lee Soo-hyun'.

 

In a recent film titled 'The Hopeful Sea', Kim Go-eun transformed into a 'Sea guard' with his unusual interest in the marine ecosystem. Kim Go-eun has started working on Lee Dong-wook and 'Check diving' and 'Seaklin', which he met in five years after the drama 'Dokkaebi'. Kim Go-eun has been meticulous, releasing tensions from Lee Dong-wook, who has been nervous about his first Sea diving.

 

The two people who started preparing for diving in earnest had difficulty such as breaking diving equipment because of the gusts that continued before the beginning of diving. Kim’s new series will be a story of an ordinary woman, Yumi. It follows her romance from the perspective of her cells and together they will eat, love, and grow up within the series.

 

 

Yumi’s Cells will be produced in several seasons, based on a popular webtoon of the same name that went viral online for its imaginative approach of personifying human cells. Since the story follows the stream of her cells’ consciousness, they will play a very important role within the screenplay. During the promotions of the K-drama, Lee Min-ho had admitted he was eager to work with the actor.

The King: Eternal Monarch premiered in the summer of 2020. The show not only marked Kim Go-eun's return to the small screen three years after her hit show Goblin but it also marked her maiden project with Lee Min-ho. During an interview, Lee Min-ho had gushed about the actor, revealing that he admired the attitude and mindset with which she works.

"I personally admire theattitude and mindset she brings to her job, and also in the face of danger she really brings that mindset and mentality and really gets in between or intervenes on the scene. "I knew that I always wanted to have the chance to work with her on screen because I saw her play out many different characters in various works in the past so I was very happy to work with her and onset she really has a variety of charms. Sometimes she will be like an older sister to me but sometimes she can be my younger sister," he added.

During an interview with E-news Exclusive, as reported by Soompi, Lee Min-ho reinitiated that he was eager to work with Kim Go-eun. "I was very happy because she’s the actress that I most wanted to work with out of our peers," he said.

Veteran K-drama watchers need no introduction to Kim Go-eun but for new K-drama fans who know her from The King: Eternal Monarch, Kim Go-eun celebrates her 30th birthday today on July 2. Fans took to Instagram to shower her with love and best wishes under her standard birthday cake posts.

After the quirky seal/bear cake of last time, Kim Go-eun is back with yet another unique birthday cake, and this time it's a dog! She shared a picture of herself next to the cakes and it is as adorable as last time. In the first picture, the actress is showing off her bangs that she has been sporting for her upcoming release Yumi's Cells while in the second one she seems overjoyed to cut her cute little doggo cake.
