%EB%B0%95%EC%84%9C%EC%A4%80_%EA%B2%9F%EC
Name Park Seo-Joon
Born December 16, 1988
Notable Works SBS ‘One Warm Word,’ MBC Drama Special – Sleeping Witch, MBC ‘Pots of Gold,’ KBS ‘Dream High,’ Bang Yong-Guk’s Music Video ‘I Remember’
Park Seo-Joon made an impression on B.A.P fans by starring in Bang Yong-Guk’s music video of ‘I Remember’ in 2011. Having debuted through the music video, he grew as an actor through drama ‘Dream High 2’ in 2012 and ‘Pots of Gold’ in 2013. Perhaps the most viewers remember him as the part of the cute couple (with Beak Jin-Hee) in ‘Pots of Gold.’
He currently plays Song Min-Soo in SBS’ ‘One Warm Word,’ playing a charming character that melts the hearts of female viewers. With his tall height and cute smiles, he has a great potential with military service already out of his way. His next drama is already set: tvN’s drama ‘A Witch’s Love,’ playing the counterpart of Uhm Jung-Hwa, who’s 19 years older than him. His potential makes us to set high expectations for his future.

Uhm Jung-hwa headlines noona romance for tvNby girlfriday |UhmJungHwa_ParkSeoJoon1.jpgVia Osen credit

Okay, more noona romance it is. You won’t hear me complaining. Though it does seem like cable stations tvN and JTBC are having some sort of inter-network pissing contest this year over whose noona-killer can out-romance the other, doesn’t it? Right now we’ve got I Need Romance 3 and a secondary couple on Could We Love duking it out on Mondays and Tuesdays, and then in March comes Kim Hee-ae and Yoo Ah-in’s Secret Love Affair for JTBC. Not to be outdone, tvN has now added Witch’s Romance, starring Uhm Jung-hwa(Montage) and Park Seo-joon (Warm Words).

The new drama will be a remake of the 2009 Taiwanese drama Queen of No Marriage (also called My Queen), about a 33-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man juggling a romance in the workplace. The romantic comedy will be about two people who each have scars from past relationships, and the way their romance with each other heals those wounds. Basically, it sounds like a straightforward workplace noona rom-com.
Seeing as how Uhm Jung-hwa and Park Seo-joon are actually nineteen years apart in real life, I think they’ll probably skew the age gap a little larger. Park Seo-joon is relatively new as an actor–I haven’t seen him in anything, so I hope he’s decent. Uhm Jung-hwa is already a noona-killer-killer personified, so I’m not exactly worried about her. In fact her most recent movie Laws of Attraction has her romancing a younger Lee Jae-yoon.
She hasn’t done a drama since 2009′s The Man Who Can’t Get Married, but a sexy cable rom-com seems like a fun reason to take a break from films for a few months. The actors are still in final negotiations, but the outlook is good that they’ll both be signing on.
Witch’s Romance will follow I Need Romance 3 in April.

Uhm Jung Hwa and Park Seo Joon may be the next nuna-dongsaeng (older woman-younger man) couple.

According to multiple broadcasting representatives on February 18, Uhm Jung Hwa and Park Seo Joon are set to appear in tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Witch’s Love” (working title), a remake of Taiwanese drama “My Queen” (“Queen of No Marriage”).

One representative revealed, “The two will be taking on lead roles in a nuna-dongsaeng romance. While they have not signed contracts yet, they should be appearing in the drama barring any unforeseen circumstances.”

Uhm Jung Hwa’s side stated, “Nothing has been finalized. We are positively considering the offer,” while Park Seo Joon’s side said, “It’s true that we received a casting proposal, but we are currently in the reviewing phase. Talks are going positively.”

“My Queen” originally aired in 2009, and told the story of a 33-year-old single career woman who meets a 25-year-old romantic and handsome working man. It drew comparisons with 2005 MBC drama “My Name is Kim Sam Soon.” The drama was a phenomenal ratings success, and attracted considerable popularity in Korea as well.

Uhm Jung Hwa and Park Seo Joon play a single woman and a younger man respectively, with a large age difference. Both are emotionally scarred from previous relationships, and develop a romance with one another as they heal from their wounds. The real age gap between the Uhm Jung Hwa and Park Seo Joon is a staggering 19 years, so it will be interesting to see how they manage to make the nuna-dongsaeng relationship work.

If all works out, this will be Uhm Jung Hwa’s return to dramaland five years after 2009 KBS drama “He Who Can’t Marry.” She has mainly been active in the film industry, with her most recent release being the 2014 film “The Laws of Pleasure.”

Park Seo Joon was in KBS2’s “Dream High 2” and is currently attracting attention for his excellent acting and charming good looks in the SBS drama “Kind Words.” This will be Park Seo Joon’s first leading role in a drama, if he chooses to sign on to “Witch’s Love.”

“Witch’s Love” is expected to air its first broadcast on tvN in April, following “I Need Romance 3.”

Witch's Romance' release drama poster for Park Suh Joon and Uhm Jung HwaMarch 14, 2014 @ 3:00 am | allkpoppark-suh-joon-uhm-jung-hwa_1394721430_af
The upcoming tvN drama 'Witch's Romance' released the drama poster featuring main actors Uhm Jung Hwa and Park Suh Joon.
The two will be depicting a romance between a 39-year-old career woman, Ban Ji Yeon (Uhm Jung Hwa), and a 25-year-old man named Yoon Dong Ha (Park Suh Joon). Despite their real-life age difference of 19 years, the two proved through this poster that they will be showing a youthful, sweet chemistry in the drama.
The production team said, "It was a somewhat hard concept for this drama poster as it hasn't been attempted previously, but Uhm Jung Hwa and Park Suh Joon gave wings to every single picture through the sense they were born with and their outstanding acting skills. It was to the point that the pictures needed no revisions, and it was difficult to choose the final cut. Starting from the poster, this drama is doing a good job of setting itself apart from other dramas."
'Witch's Romance' will begin airing on April 14!
