When it comes to male leads in K-dramas, there are a heck of them that end up being bosses. You can call it a cliché, but there’s something about CEOs, managers, and supervisors exuding charisma that really make us dig the storyline. Here’s a look at 11 K-drama bosses who many seem to love.

3. “She Was Pretty

“She Was Pretty” stars Hwang Jung Eum as Kim Hye Jin, a woman who used to be very put together and popular with the boys as a kid, but grows up caring a little less about her appearance. She gets a chance at a magazine company where she reunites with her first love, Ji Sung Joon (Park Seo Joon). Sung Joon had been madly in love with Hye Jin when he was younger, but is now unable to recognize her as an adult.

Ji Sung Joon isn’t the nicest boss on the block at first, but he definitely becomes quite the heartthrob after he realizes the Kim Hye Jin he works with is actually his first love. He starts to work together with his employees as a team and takes other people’s ideas into consideration. Before, he would be quick to put his workers down, but after finding love, he becomes a great listener and much more patient. It helps when your boss is a softie at heart.

5. “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim

Kim Mi So (Park Min Young) decides that it’s time for her to quit her job of being a secretary to Lee Young Joon (Park Seo Joon) in hopes of pursuing her dreams of finding a husband and starting a family. After being pretty dependent on her for a while, Young Joon can’t accept that she will be leaving and ends up proposing that they get married.

Lee Young Joon is an arrogant boss. He’s self-absorbed and isn’t really concerned with what’s going on around him, but he is pretty generous when it comes to employee benefits. Lee Young Joon likes to take care of his employees and although he’s not always around when they have dinners or parties, he does make sure that they get the best treatment with the best service. He does not mess around!

11. “Itaewon Class”

Park Sae Roy (Park Seo Joon) has been through a lot in his young life. His father was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident, he was expelled from school, and he was sentenced to jail for three years. All this tragedy happened as a result of one family that owns the biggest restaurant chain in Korea. After getting out of jail, Sae Roy swears that he will get revenge and decides to open up his own restaurant called Dan Bam.

Yes, this is the third title with the wonderful Park Seo Joon as the male lead. He does play CEO characters an awful lot, but he also happens to be SO good at it, so we’re really not complaining, right? Park Seo Joon as Park Sae Roy could NOT be passed on this list. He’s the boss that everyone would want on their side. He is never scared to stand up for his employees and he never gives up on them even when they want to give up on themselves. Sae Roy goes above and beyond the call of duty for a boss and he becomes your friend in the process too. The love!

When “sausage guy” becomes popular and recognizable lol (comment section)

IC was a great at introducing to audience some strong new actors. It was all around a drama where everyone had their moment to shine and show their acting chops.
Midnight Runners seriously such a good movie. I’m always in the mood to re-watch it lol

*** Kim Soo Hyun took to his personal Instagram to share a series of photos of him posing in front of the coffee truck also sent on the set by IU & PSJ to him. His caption was : "IU, you shine too. My fellow soldiers Lee Hyun Woo. Park Seo Joon, Park Sae Roi you're all so cool. I'm psycho, but it's okay."

7 Lessons to learn from the action-comedy film “Midnight Runners”

Entertainments such as dramas and movies never fail to play with our emotions. It is not just for making us entertain but also to remind us of the wonderful things the world could offer.

Some storyline depict our own life story where it gives us lessons and inspirations, hope when we are in the state of despair, and chances to be new again.

One of the inspirational Korean movies that caught my attention is the 2017 action-comedy film Midnight Runners starring Park Seo Joon and Kang Ha Neul.

It tells the story of two new students at the Korean National Police University who have the sense of responsibility and willing to save other people even if it means the end of their academic life.

Moreover, here are 7 lessons to learn from the action-comedy film Midnight Runners that will inspire us to be a better person:

1. All professions are noble.

Up to this day, some people are looking down those professions who have lesser amount of salary than the other’s.

They think you will not succeed in that field nor earn much money in the future.

Let us cut this kind of mindset and support one other whether his/her job has low or high income. All professions are noble and should be treated with utmost respect.

Spoiler

Moreover, every profession holds different responsibilities in our lives. As long as it is legal and helps to boost our economy and respective lives, then there’s no need to be ashamed off and no need to shame other people.

2. School prepares us to face the reality of life.

We studied for 19 years and more to get a degree and find a legal job when we reach adulthood. The teachers teach us some sort of things and in college, we specialized what we wanted to be.

Some says, what we learn in school about work is really different when we are experiencing it in real time.

There’s so much more than that, that the school couldn’t explain to us.

However, school is still important. It will teach us how the industry works and gives us more knowledge based on books. After all, experience and knowledge are one of the best attributes to live up your life.

3. Be responsible. Do what is right and just.

In every decisions we made, there are consequences that we need to bare and take responsibility from. Since we were born up to who we are right now, we are assigned to a certain small or big task.

Other people may be in trouble just because we are not responsible to face our own doings. Ki Joon (Park Seo Joon) and Hee Yeol (Kang Ha Neul) are not selfish enough for doing what is right and just.

Take responsibility and do what you think is right.

4. Do the things that make you happy.

IMG_20200625_112052.jpg?fit=780%2C439&ss

Your happiness is what matters the most. Choose someone who can make you laugh and at ease. Choose your course according to what your heart wants. Choose the things that make you happy.

5. Real purpose of life is to help and save other people.

Screenshot_20200617_082033.jpg?fit=780%2

Our life is like a cycle and it’s our own choice to live a generous life helping one another. The real purpose of life is to help and save other people whatever status they are in and whoever they are.

Nothing can compare the feeling of satisfaction when you are helping someone genuinely and without nothing in return.

6. Do not afraid to ask for help.

Screenshot_20200626_133308.jpg?fit=780%2

In connection with lesson number 5, we should learn to ask for help if we cannot take it anymore. Depending to someone doesn’t make you inferior, nevertheless, from the well-known saying: no man is an island.

However, we should also learn to stand on our own. We need to balance everything.

7. Make friends who have the same vision as yours.

Screenshot_20200625_112250.jpg?fit=780%2

We all have friends but not all of them can make us feel comfortable and can treat as sibling. Find friends who have the same vision as yours, who are pure and willing to help you at all times, and who is willing to correct you if you’re mistaken. Most importantly, a friend who will not leave your side no matter what happen.

Park Seo Joon and Kang Ha Neul in one drama is a pretty and perfect sight as they nailed, as always, their respective characters.

The duo intensively create a humorous yet intense environment in the film that will touch your heart and make you laugh at the same time. Also, it looks like they did enjoy each others’ company.

However, would you like to see Park Seo Joon and Kang Ha Neul again in one drama?
