Park Seo Joon, Sweet Revenge, And Food: What To Watch After “Itaewon Class”

Apr 11, 2020

What do we do now that “Itaewon Class” is official over? One of the reasons why “Itaewon Class” was such a good drama was because of its unique script and amazing cast. The series wasn’t only about one thing. It touched on so many different themes that it made it relatable for basically anyone. But, now that it’s over, what do we watch to help mend the pain? Here are just a few recommendations!

The talented lead, Park Seo Joon

One of the best parts about “Itaewon Class” was seeing Park Seo Joon shine in doing the very thing he’s amazing at, which is acting. How gifted he is at acting and how he can show such an array of emotions in one episode never ceases to amaze. It’s not the last we’re going to see of Park Seo Joon, but if you need something to see him asap, here are some solid recommendations.

Witch’s Romance

Ban Ji Yeon (Uhm Jung Hwa) is a career woman who has no time for love. She had her heart broken in the past and does not want to commit again, which is why when she meets Yoon Dong Ha (Park Seo Joon), she almost has a one-night stand with him. When she discovers that he’s actually 14 years younger than her, she pushes him away and vows never to see him. Except that Dong Ha already has his heart set on her and is willing to do whatever it takes to win her affections.

“Witch’s Romance” was probably Park Seo Joon’s first big rol that put him on the map and won the hearts of viewers. His portrayal as the young and innocent Yoon Dong Ha who wears his heart on his sleeve is just too swoon-worthy. Seeing him in such a vulnerable role was the perfect start to his powerhouse acting career and we’ve really only seen him produce hits since. You’re guaranteed to fall for Dong Ha’s charm and there’s the added pleasure of hearing Park Seo Joon sing for the OST.

You can check it out here:

Fight My Way

Dong Man (Park Seo Joon) is a pretty simple guy. All he wants is to hang out with his best friend, Ae Ra (Kim Ji Won) and try to achieve his dream of becoming an MMA fighter. When his dreams get put on the back burner, Dong Man leans on his friend Ae Ra for support. The two of them discover that they’re in the same position and both try to find the strength to pursue their dreams. During this journey, they also happen to realize that they have some strong feelings for each other.

“Fight My Way” is not only about love but it also touches on friendship, dreams, and what it means to never give up. Park Seo Joon does such a great job in his role as the simple-minded but passionate Dong Man. He really makes you want to have a friend like him around in your life. He sticks up for his friends and pushes people to become better. We all need a Dong Man!

Youn’s Kitchen 2

“Youn’s Kitchen” is a reality show that takes you overseas. The cast members include Yoon Yeo Jung, Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yu Mi, and of course, Park Seo Joon. It’s produced by the genius Na Young Suk, so you know that you’re in for a solid variety show. In this particular show, the cast is responsible for making a set menu in which they use to run a restaurant for the locals in another country. They cook, serve, and prepare all of the meals on their own.

“Youn’s Kitchen” isn’t a drama, but the show does feature a lot of yours truly, which is why it’s definitely worth the watch. Park Seo Joon shows that his charms and skills are endless, especially when you hear him speak Spanish. How can you not fall for this guy?! He’s so talented in everything he does!

Prepare your hearts and listen to him speak Spanish:

The theme of revenge

The part that made “Itaewon Class” so exhilarating and enthralling was how we really wanted Park Sae Ro Yi to avenge his father’s death. There were other themes in the series, but the revenge one drives the series and is what made it so fun to watch. If you loved this aspect, here are some more that you definitely have to check out!
