I’m just going to guess, but right now Itaewon due to negative news about COVID around it is not a most well-liked place. Awards always been about politics and agenda;(

Still, no one can deny how big it was in SK and how amazing in did Hallyu wise despite having no romance, that international audience love so much, along with having complex social allegory and multilayered flawed characters;) 

IC was a rare gem in k-drama world;)))

He did win several votes, including one from Arashi Weekly though But, even if that wasn’t the case, two of his shows right now in top 10 Netflix Japan, with one being 3 years old;))) 
 

Also, I always hope that Seo Jun gets all the love and trust from general public, because that’s the recipe to have a longevity;)))

As for IC, I guess any other year situation could’ve been different, but honestly this show is good on it’s own. In terms of characters it’s also a league of it’s own. Both male and female characters basically ahead of their time, with how complex and true they’re as simple humans. With their flaws, unlikable decisions and misjudgment forced on youngsters by society from their childhood, yet their ability to rise beyond that is makes them complex and the story compelling. 
 

I think I can talk hours about IC xD

 

They’re officially in “considering positive” stage right now, which is basically saying “yeap, they 99% doing it”, but I just need 100% conformation from tvN or Awesome ENT. be 1000% sure and relax lol

Sometimes I am confused as well if checking on list of top hallyu star. I dont know why Seo Joon is not there. Lol. Anyway, the important thing is he gets more recognition and he deserves it well.

How about in China? It is not as hype as in Japan and Philippines?

I still dont get why they have to "put aside" IC. For me, it is the best drama ever. I can learn so many things from IC. It is not fantasy at all. You can apply many lessons from IC in our life. Our reality life. That's why I think even men also enjoy watching IC.
