Everything seems to be in the up in the air at the moment :sad1: Uncertainty around release dates for Conpia and Dream, will we even see any of his works release this year? :brokenheart:

@Jeomju1216  I'm sure about 'Concrete Utopia', which was initially expected to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival, is unlikely to be seen in theaters this year as it is not submitted to this Cannes Film Festival due to a post-production schedule.  :emmm:

Do they intend to try and submit at Cannes next year and then release? seems like a long wait :cold_sweat:

The drama 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim' was selected as the most enjoyable Korean drama that Japanese people watched in 2021.

In February, Japanese media VOD Hackers surveyed 100 Japanese fans of Korean dramas (92 females, 8 males) on 'one of the Korean romantic comedy dramas I'd like to recommend in 2021'. 'Is it so' won the first place with 21 votes.

Since it was not limited to the 2021 works, the votes came out scattered, but 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim', which aired in 2018, was the only one to get more than 10 votes, and it was surveyed that it has been loved in Japan for about 3 years. Japanese viewers chose 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim.

Third place was 'She Was Pretty' starring Park Seo Jun and Hwang Jung-eum. Thanks to the popularity of 'She Was Pretty' in Japan, it was even remade in 2021.

*** Park Seo Joon joins millions of ARMYs as they show their support for BTS' Grammy journey. He took to social media as he hyped BTS V's  achievement. His IG Story featured a screenshot of the group during their Grammy award performance with a caption -  "Please, please!" hoping that the group would bring home another achievement.  :yay:

6 K-Dramas To Watch On Netflix And Viu If You Love 'Business Proposal'

k-dramas-like-business-proposal-16492434

More ~happy pills~ coming your way!

Don't you just miss watching K-dramas with so many clichés? While we love series with shocking plot twists, we have to admit that we like seeing tropes such as the rich guy, poor girl plot and the ~accidental~ kisses. Good thing, 2022 blessed us with Business Proposal and it became the K-drama we look forward to after work!

Now that Tae Moo and Ha Ri's story has ended, we know you're looking for more feel-good shows that don't require a lot of thinking and guarantee next-level kilig. From office romances to fake identities...

Here's a list of K-dramas on Netflix and Viu that you should watch after Business Proposal

1. What's Wrong With Secretary Kim (2018)

Who's in it: Park Seo Joon, Park Min Young, Lee Tae Hwan, Pyo Ye Jin

Where you can watch it: Netflix and Viu

If there's a K-drama that's *very* similar to Business Proposal, that would be What's Wrong With Secretary Kim. The male lead is a narcissistic chaebol who has the same hairstyle and vibes as Tae Moo, he fell in love with his employee, and the steamy kissing scenes in this series will live in your head rent-free. And did we mention that it's adapted from a webtoon, too?

I watched the first two episodes of Itaewon Class today, good start has some of my favourites one plays the bad boy. But it is very heavy right now.

@backstreetboysfan  NICE that you find time - Even the 1st EP is good, right? PSJ tries to build up his business and finds himself surrounded by a strong group of friends. "Itaewon Class" was such a great binge-watch, you can't help but want to know how it all turns out. Park Seo-joon's comic-accurate bowl haircut created quite the buzz. 'Danbam', the name of the restaurant that Park Sae-ro-yi first opened, is actually in Itaewon but the sign of 'Danbam' is already gone. However, you

will recognize the store as soon as you get there. It's now reopened as 'Seoul Bam'.   :rubchin:

[PICK] The 5 Best Reality TV Shows Starring Bigtime South Korean Actors

Youns-Stay.jpg

Imagine what it would be like to see celebrities in a totally different setting from their fancy everyday city life. More and more reality TV shows are beginning to carry out their episodes revolving around big actors and actresses. Those famous stars who we get to see in mountains, seasides, or quiet hanoks would often reveal their humane side that we never expected to see from them. Perhaps it’s why Cha Tae Hyun and Jo In Sung’s Unexpected Business 2, which showcases the growth of rookie mart clerks, is gaining huge popularity among viewers. So without further ado, let’s take a look at five of the best reality TV shows that feature our all-time favorite actors.

tvN’s ‘Youn’s Stay

Youn’s Stay was originally planned to be just like its prequels, which feature a group of celebrities opening up Korean restaurants in small towns overseas. However, the plan got switched after many expressed concerns about filming the series out of the country during the pandemic. Instead, they decided to film the show featuring foreign guests staying at a two-hundred-year-old hanok in Junranam-do. There, Minari star Youn Yuh Jung greeted guests with her fluent English and exquisite sense of humor. Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yu Mi, Park Seo Joon and Choi Woo Sik supported her by diligently going about their assigned jobs. Following Noona Over Flowers and Youn’s Kitchen, the show satisfied the original fans with yet another variety show starring Youn Yuh Jung. The delicious meals, great hospitality and beautiful hanok were more than enough to please the eyes of viewers.
