It was just announced this morning of November 30th (local time in SIN) when the Disney Content Showcase 2022 was held at the main event hall on the 2nd basement floor of Marina Bay Sands (MBS), Singapore. Here, presentations were held by Marvel Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Walt Disney Studios, Lucasfilm, and Pixar. Here, the new lineup of Marvel Studios was introduced, and “The Marvels”, sequel to “Captain Marvel”, also appeared on the screen. The moderator said, “‘The Marvels’ will be released in July 2023” and called Park Seo Joon’s name as a cast member. Then cheers can be heard from the attending press.

Park Seo Joon’s Upcoming Hollywood Film “The Marvels” Confirms Summer 2023 Premiere

 

 

Park Seo Joon’s “The Marvels” is gearing up to premiere next summer!

 

On November 30, the Disney Content Showcase 2022 took place at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. The showcase celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Walt Disney Company and previewed Asia-Pacific region original content that will be released via theaters and streaming services in 2023.

 

Luke Kang, the president of The Walt Disney Company’s Asia-Pacific region, shared, “This is a meaningful event to reveal the APAC regional content in 2023.”

 

Under Marvel Studios, upcoming projects include “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” which will be unveiled February 17, 2023, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” and “The Marvels.”

 

“The Marvels” is the upcoming sequel to “Captain Marvel” starring Park Seo Joon in addition to Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, Teyonah Parris, Samuel L. Jackson, and more. Park Seo Joon’s role has yet to be officially revealed, although speculations have been made that he will be playing Amadeus Cho, a Korean-American teen hero.

 

Park Seo Joon is now the third Korean actor to star in a Marvel movie following Claudia Kim (who appeared in “Avengers: Age of Ultron”) and Ma Dong Seok (“Eternals”).

@yaya1241  thanks for sharing this. Yes, they announced there that he will play alongside Brie Larson and Iman Vellani, but the exact nature of his role was not disclosed. I hope we get to know this prior the premiere of the movie.

Actually, TODAY, December 2nd the three were spotted in Mexico, Park Seo Joon, BTS V & Choi Woo Shik. It was a fan clip of the two (PSJ & V) caught strolling around in Mexico. It's said that Choi Wooshik was also present, joining his two buddies. It seems like the show will begin airing in the first half of 2023.

Park Seo-Joon joins Marvel Cinematic Universe with 'Captain Marvel' sequel

 

 

South Korean actor Park Seo-Joon is the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, multiple reports confirmed Wednesday.

 

According to a report by the Korean news portal Soompi, Park will be part of the sequel of "Captain Marvel" led by Brie Larson.

 

He will be joining Iman Vellani, Teyonah Parris, and Samuel L. Jackson in "The Marvels" which is set to be released next year.

 

Fans speculate that he will be playing the role of Amadeus Cho.

 

Park is known for his role as Park Sae-ro-yi in the series "Itaewon Class" released last 2020. 

 

Aside from "Itaewon Class," he also starred in the dramas "She Was Pretty," "Hwarang," "Fight For My Way," and "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim."

*** Kicking off the new year with this upcoming pairing is something to look forward to next year (2023).  I'm glad that PSJ is making his return to the small screen this 2023.  They are collaborating for the first time in the historical series "Gyeongseong Creature."  Though the drama is scheduled to air in the first quarter of next year - the drama team confirmed that season 2 is coming. The production is already preparing to film the sequel soon. It will be released on Netflix.

He appeared in the comics alongside Captain Marvel during one of her visits to his home planet Aladna, where every inhabitant speaks in rhymes. During which she objected to his wedding to stop the evil alien Marlo from taking over the planet. When it was first announced that Park Seo-joon would appear in The Marvels, many were curious about who he would portray. It is unknown how large PSJ's part in the film will be, but he will likely have a considerable role. Rumors have suggested The Marvels will serve as a large event-level film similar to Captain America: Civil War. The site states that the Prince was almost forced to marry against his wish due to Aladna’s customs in which only women choose their partner when Captain Marvel intervenes. Captain Marvel marries Yan and then gives him the right to choose his partner. Marvel fans had a mixed response to the news, with some stating that they weren’t very excited about what the premise of a Prince from a “Musical planet where everyone has to sing to communicate” might mean for the upcoming film.
