Honey and Clover.  Probably my all time favorite romantic comedy/slice of life anime ever.  The story is incredibly poignant and well written (and especially relatable if you're a college student), the soundtrack is fantastic, and its able to jump back and forth from incredibly bittersweet moments that'll make you cry, to incredibly hilarious ones!
If you wanna go kinda old school, another really classic one is Love Hina.  Super funny, and the story is really entertaining.

Ouran High School Host Club! It's mostly comedy with a slight hint of romance. Love the characters in it! You can choose to read the manga or watch the anime.

I recently watched ToraDora. I thought I wasn't going to like it because of the art style. But the art is actually nice. I thought it was going to be cartoony but it isn't, it's just cute.
The story itself is awesome. It develops more than I thought it would romance wise. Very dramatic.
And it's very funny. I didn't regret watching it at all. So I definitely recommend it.
Oh, and it's a story of a guy name Ryūji  and a girl named Taiga. Ryūji  likes Taiga's best friend and Taiga likes Ryūji 's best friend. So when they find this out they decide to help each other out to win the hearts of their crushes. Well, Taiga forces Ryūji  to help her at first haha He's more easing going and she's more intense.
It starts off that way but it's very heartwarming. LOVED IT!
