Guest Skippergirl
So... I haven't grown a pimple in about two weeks but the scars, even the two or three month old scars are super slow at fading away =_= I even have some that are 5 months or older!!!heres a picture I took today... like 10 minutes ago.... my skin is super pale which makes the redness x10000000 worse!!I already do most of the skin whitening regime stuff, put sunscreen 50 times everyday, eat more healthy, hide from the sun blah blah blah etcIs there any more scar reducing /fading secrets out there? Or do you think my skin is bad enough to just go do a $300+ chemical peel? T.TEDITED: I forgot to say that Ive been going to the dermatologist for about 1 year already... they don't really help you with these scars since they aren't that big of a deal? zantac_2
brown marks (yours being mild) left from acne take a very long time to fade. ive been acne free for around 4 years now and i still have some very light marks from the height of my acne battle.you dont need to pay a lot of money for chemical peels. there are some lighter solutions off the counter that are affordable. peels using aha may speed the healing process. youre a girl. youve got the luxury of using makeup/concealer. radiocat
What about isotretinoin gel ?? i am pretty sure this would help but you need a doctor prescription for this depending on where you live.

Guest NitsujN_RN
I think the peels might aggravate it even more, especially the stronger ones like 50% lactic. $300 is definitely not worth it x.x Time is the answer to acne scars. There are ways to speed up scars but can't vouch for any. I know dermatologists like to prescribe hydroquinoine 2-4% to fade scars and hyperpigmentation. But sometimes it may come back. There are even alternatives like papaya enzymatic soap that people say really works but it's all trial-and-error until you find a medication or product that works. There's so many it can be overwhelming.Anyway do you drink alot of water? Do anything to aggravate acne, like putting hand on face, unwashed pillow covers, cell phone, etc? Smoke? Stress out often? Do you have oily skin? A hormonal imbalance can cause excess sebum which can clog pores and cause acne. Doctors could prescribe low-dose Accutane to reduce sebaceous activity but can cause the side effect of dry skin for months. Radiocat's suggestion of the topical gel version is pretty good. I think you need to lay off the skin whitening regimen and the sunscreen for awhile as it could aggravate remaining acne and redness. Just wear a wide-brimmed hat. Also, give your skin a breather by not applying make up and don't exfoliate or it might make the redness worse. A light, gentle, cleanser should do. Guest Xiaoness
My friend uses nutritional supplements cuz it heals the skin from inside out. It's called the GENKI, its a super multi-vitamin/mineral - it helps with a lot of things including cellular rejuvenation , it also has cardiovascular, anti-aging, super green foods, anti inflammatory, amongst others. Theres like 67 ingredients in it. All natural, halal and kosher certified made in USA.She drinks its but at night she makes it into a paste and puts it on her acne.It looks like this.I had to screen shot it because I didnt have any on me right now But yeah a lot of ppl like mixing it with juices, tastes pretty good for vitaminsbut this is her before and after picsThis a more recent pic of me and her on our company's vacation to Maui, HawaiiOh I forgot to mention, she had to detox a couple of times, cuz her acne was really bad. But after a few detoxes, she started using the GENKI too.The detox she uses is also from the same company, and its a one day all natural, organic detox. Guest Hellen Lee1430292667
Maybe you can try Laser Treatment. Recently, using laser is considered to be the best acne scar removal treatment and has become popular with more and more people turning to the latest in technology for treatment over traditional cures. atreyu
The only thing that helped me was let time passing by. Seriously, too much products are just too abrasive and in the amount of them, it has never worked for me because it impaired and delayed wound healing. Let time passing by was my best therapy, the skin has its own natural mechanism to repair damages. ( if they are not too hard like big extensive burns ) I have had a lot of pimples, no acne. Hope you will find your best way for the skin soon.
Guest Octofish.
You can try doing microdermabrasion (there are plenty of drugstore ones that are good, like Aveeno's) and applying mederma. It might speed up the process, and I have personal experience with both products, though not on facial acne scars.
Guest mizteaza
IPL or Aurora laser usually does the trick but this is way more expensive than chemical peels. I did have a few acne scars here and there but I noticed using Vitamin C based serums helped them fade away quicker than just living them as is. Plus I use glyolic based toners. Contains stuff that gently exfoliates so meaning you get rid of some dead skins and makes it easier to fade away scars. I use peter thomas roth peach bellini pads. Guest nana544
You can try Bio-Oil. When applying, leave it on overnight. It will slowly fade away within months. I use it on my face and it helps even out my skin tone, and also my pimple scars has started to fade (yes, I like to poke my pores/pimples when I shouldn't). thesnowflowerrr
I would not advise chemical peeling, I have a friend who was very anxious about her face.. and she went for chemical peeling which left her skin more vulnerable. Not only did it aggravate her sensitive skin, it brought about more pimples for her. And matters did not improve until she went to a skin specialist.I would suggest like some of the others, to see a doctor. Although some counter products like Bio-oil claim to be able to fade acne scars. But looking at your skin which may be quite acne prone, you might want to use very little amount of this to try out if you are interested?
Guest daulism
I personally recommend Kiehl's dark spot serum, in combination with a good sunscreen. Personally it's worked for me, and while my acne scars do naturally fade away in 3+ months time, I feel like the serum has sped it up in 2 1/2 months.Sounds excruciating I know, but hey, what can ya do. These are:Deficiency of:# Essential fatty acids# Pyridoxine (B6)# Vitamin C# ZincI think the body needs vitamins to be in balance and to repair the negative sides of unhealthy food and other stuff every day (chemicals, etc). Here it stands which food to eat to get the vitamin http://www.sixwise.com/newsletters/06/03/01/nutritional-deficiency-symptoms--amp-recommendations-for-24-common-nutritional-deficiencies.htmGood Luck
